He is a one man point and click CC chain all on his own, and double healer compositions with Uther are incredibly potent. Hammer of the Lightbringer quest is part of what enables this, making his stuns very spammy. His CC was buffed to compensate for his trait being toned down during Genji meta; however his trait nerf has been reverted and he’s gotten various other buffs throughout the patches. I think ultimately, he needs his power redistributed so that his CC isn’t quite so oppressive.
I would be in favor of reducing his stun duration to 0.75 seconds on his E, and significantly increasing his healing through W. I think from there if he’s still stunning too much, his AA quest at 1 can be looked at for further changes.

No matter the build, every talents are strong. His base kit is problematic.
Maybe reducing the E stun to 0.75 sec, but definitely reduce Devotion’s armor to 20 like they did with E.T.C.

He is a tank/healer hybrid so he can fit both roles allowing you to have a tank and healer in one hero. But that is also what makes him broken right now. He is too good at both roles.
With him on the team you can run double healer comps with bruiser offlane and still have a stong team with next ot zero weakness.
He just need some nerfs were he are too good right now. Also nerfing his trait would make him less tanky then a real tank
Also nerf his Benediction talent that enable him to tripple stun people with Divine storm included.
And remove his ress at lvl 20 or make it so he ress up in Hall of storm insteed like Maltheal and KTZ. Its just too powerfull compared to his other lvl 20 talents.

Just don’t kill him first. Kill his teammates and then - Uther, so you can chase his spirit and kill again.

Your way is the right way to nerf him without ruining his viability. Decrease Devotion’s armor, if not for all allied casts, for the armor that is applied to himself.
But if you nerf his devotion’s armor wouldn’t he need buff in healing for that as a compensation? I mean his healing power compared to other healers is lower, because his strength is in damage migitation through devotion’s armor.
I agree it’s very powerful, but that would ruin one of the main aspects of his trait, because you usually see people are afraid to die to get trait value. For me it’s unique like Deathmetal from ETC. I would rather prefer to adjust other talents to make them more equal. But I don’t know how to nerf Uther, if he really needs it.
They could just lower the mana cost of his heal then.

He just need some number down tuned cause right now he can both tank and heal making him first pick for many teams in tournement casue he does his job just too well.
In tournements he gets picked as main tank over a dedicated main tank making double healer comps a pain again.
He just needs to have some of his stuff nerfed so he still exels as beng a hybrid but dont make real tanks useless.

In other words he is the real multiclass, not like Varian. He can be two roles at once.
Not sure if he needs that compensation, because his win rate and popularity have both been at very unhealthy levels for a long time now. Anything to bring him a bit closer to 50% would be welcome.
He can also act as a pseudo tank replacement, that’s just too good for a healer. Last pick and team has neither a healer or tank? You may have a decent shot at winning just by picking Uther, and it wont even be a real “troll draft”. (Not optimal in many cases, of course)

Personally I think they should just toss him in the support section and balance him as a support.
Nooooo. Make him better late game and nerf his early? You want a strong uther? You sacrifice having a reliable tank or healer until late game when his mana costs are acceptable for the mana pool increase he gets
That still an issue unless he picks specific talents for it.
It stops being a problem because fights don’t last long enough for anyone to notice after the midgame / you’re not messing around in lane and putting strain on his mana before joining a teamfight.
Good you think so. That means he has a clear weakness even late game (not for me as I don’t have mana problems) and if the devs made him even stronger late game but for a weaker early I wouldn’t mind. Imagine if he healed as much as Lucio but horrendous mana costs
And still I wouldn’t like to see Uther the next Nova or Genji, so I am careful with nerfs.

I wouldn’t mind small nerfs. Uther is a lovely monster.

To be fair, if we look at all the changes to Uther compounded he has received almost nothing but nerfs. The past two years he has had his HP reduced three times, E has had its cd increased and Holy Shock was also nerfed (still the most popular talent at lvl 4 atm). Q mana cost was reduced from very expensive to merely expensive and W cd was reduced from very long to only long. Any and all other buffs were window dressing since they did nothing to reduce HoP, Benediction and Redemption from being overwhelmingly dominant picks.
My stupid-@ss proposal is to make HoP baseline or give something to actually compete that tier and remove Benediction altogether, Uther can never have any nice things when that monstrosity exists.
This should be baseline tbh. Obviously with compensation-nerfs/-burfs.

I don’t see why not. Tyrande Lunar Flare once stunned for 1 second and they reduced it to 0.75 many years ago and it’s a skill shot.
I don’t mind if they did both, do you think he deserves something in compensation, slightly higher heals?
Kerrigan also had her stun reduced at some point from 1.25 sec to 1 sec stun and that is a skill shot too.
But i think Tyrande got her nerfs becasue of how strong she was together with Diablo. Diablo stun into overpower/Tyrande stun/hunters mark. That could half kill everyone.
Mostly when Hunters Mark gave -45 armor on heroes at that time.
