why every new hero has slow, stun, blind, root?
also unstopable as skill is not fair to other old heroes that is not evolved years, like Nazeebo and Kael’tas
Hogger is already a very weak hero, and you want to delete the only good stuff he has? What is wrong with you?
I would like to see them implement an alternate iteration of unstoppable that has charges; hit it with two stuns or slows to get rid of it, kinda thing.
That said, that’s separate from this. Hogg Wild would become suicide if you didn’t have unstoppable; the moment you drop it you project across a completely predictable vector, and so you would become an instant target. Stitches would check the poor dog right off the map because Hogging would equal a hook into death.
Unstoppable is honestly, low-key, the only thing keeping Hogg from being a clearing meme skill for waves and camps, and it’s already kinda iffy at one of those in the wrong situations.
Hogger also has some of the lower slow amounts, and a gated stun. And without his CDR he decks out for like six full seconds just kind of chilling, since his basics aren’t amazing or anything. He has no blind and no root that I know of and only the one stun which is, what, 1sec with the right talent? 1.25s?
Relax for a week or two and then we’ll suss out if Hogger is broken, whether OP or UP, and we’ll move with consideration from that point. Leaping with both feet into the mud is a great way to lose a perfectly functional pair of shoes.
He has his Q that is a knockback and a conditional stun (if you hit someone into your D or wall) and his R2, which is an aoe stun. His W has a slow attached.
Right, my bad, forgot Shockwave already. That aside, he doesn’t have CC on every skill or something, and some of it is gated so that seems fine. W has a pretty difficult range to work with, so it’s not like some insanely accessible slow. And he really relies on peak rage to hit max cadence, meaning you as his enemy have a pretty clear gauge of when he’s going to launch into maximum overHog.
I dunno, as new releases go this might be the least… off kilter? His balance feels surprisingly gated by skill caps.
Yeah and I wouldn’t say he is broken as OP claims, but I only feel he is a bit lightly overtuned like D.Va after rework, but otherwise a well balanced hero.
Like Mei, he feels like he’s benefitting more from talents that need fine tuning, rather than being conceptually broken.
Stitches isn’t a good tank so I’m all for stitches getting a small buff in the form of getting Hogger hooked. It apparently takes a lot of skill landing those hooks
Stitches needs more, and baseline, interaction with his trait.
I think what Stitches lacks is really a reason people should focus him down. Like he has all those health but he’s not very disruptive when you miss your hooks unless you take Bile at 10 and dive backline. Also he has no hard CCs in his basic kit. Tyrael doesn’t too but at least he has damage and mobility.
Literally every hero in the game has a slow, blind, root, or stun. The only heroes that don’t are just raw damage and no utility, li-ming and greymane; so since those two heroes already fill the niche of aas and mage, there is no point that any new hero shouldn’t come out with at least one form of CC.
Why do mages need unstoppable when you’re trying to compare an in your face bruiser like hogger?
