Tyrande AA build still too weak

  1. Attack Range is too low, you often have to walk around movement blockers to get a shot. Most of the time you’re within ability or dash range of most melee heroes, or you get within it after a 1 second walk.
  2. Darnassian archery does not empower splitting arrows, and 12% doesn’t do anything when most teamfights are burst oriented.
  3. You hardly ever feel trueshot aura’s 30% when you’re running around trying to heal teammates.
  4. Level 20 bonuses are really inconsequential(+1 range, attack speed) at that point in the game, most of the characters scale to a massive burst that you can’t keep up with your single target heal/ most of the time you’re barely keeping yourself alive

Edit: I think it should be made so that the AA build a serious benefit at the beginning instead of a gimmicky bonus, either give attack speed or range in level one or apply hunters mark for each autoattack so that it can be weighed better against 2k nuke owl or a very critical stun at lategame.

Honestly, after these changes, and you still think Tyrande is weak, you should probably just find another hero. Her AA build is super buffed. Before, self healing was difficult for the reasons you state, but with automatic life leech, you can be so much more aggressive which will allow you to heal more in turn, and she now has AOE heals. She didn’t need all these buffs.

I personally dislike Darnassian archery as it sort of incentivizes a weird kind of playstyle so late into the game, but I wouldn’t exactly call it weak though.

For the first time in this forums history, i am actually gonna agree with Volun on something.
Tyrande was pretty powerfull before the buff, now the Mark buffs are crazy good, can finally play armor reduction without being punished.
Even changed to be in a way better spot at both lower ranks and higher ranks.

The attack range is fine, you just gotta know how to be aggresive with her without placing yourself in bad spots.

The trueshot Aura gives a bonus to your team mates aswell, remember that, Tyrande is not buildt to deal massive amounts of dmg her self.

The lvl 20 bonuses are awesome, you can’t base your Tyrande plays on everyone playing into Wombos.
That would then make like 70% of all healers obsolete.

Pick her spell armor?

I personally always had success with her Trait build and it got nice buffs, so I’m happy.

Yeah I switch it up a lot. The owl pierce is pretty important with maps with channeling objectives for example. The only problem is that quite a few of her talents are useless or underwhelming if you don’t commit to AA, and you become a relatively poor healer if you do. So that’s why I’m suggesting an actual quality of life improvement at the beginning, which sets you up to make better plays instead of instead of “now you can actually do damage when you go AA, but your owl and stun will lack things that make them work”.

You pretty much get clowned on by the weakest of the heroes if you go full auto attack and you can’t stand getting hit yourself at all. The lifesteal is marginally good for conserving mana out of fights. They really should lean on the cd reduction of the auto attack and give her a range talent at level 1 instead of trying to make a dps character out of 150-200 per shot at level 15, or just strip her from the role as the healer.

I don’t find that true at all. Stutter stepping, kiting heroes, and healing yourself, you’re actually quite durable. If you’re just eating hits by standing still, yeah that’s going to be an issue. It’s only in situations where you get ganged on where things get more tricky. If you have trouble AAing, you probably just need to practice learning how to stutter step and kite or pick a hero that is less AA centric.

This is not really true anymore with her new AOE heal, and the fact that she has baseline life leech alleviates having to spend as much heals on herself.

I mean these are talents for a reason. But even without talenting for her other abilities, her stun is invaluable no matter what spec she’s at. And an owl is still useful as a scouting tool, and an important part of her burst combo.
