Tyrael's Afterdeath

Shouldn’t you be able to phase-through obstacles & terrain while Archange’s Wrath is active? I thought I’d pass through the wreckage of a tower to hit somebody with it, but I ended up just moving around it…seems counterintuitive granted he’s in a spiritual form.

I agree. I feels a bit an oversight or unnecessary nerf to tyrael that his trait is thwarted by terrain, but I guess that the cdr on explosions is supposed to be more rewarded for those with enough skill to actually utilize his trait :person_shrugging:

Yeah, but mobility is such a part of Tyrael’s character that, without it, just feels meh…

Let’s buff Tyrael’s Trait! It’s legit not much to not be affected by Terrain (which is probably the case because that’s the default).

Id be totally ok with this change. His trait kinda sucks anyway : p

This is a good idea. If the counterargument is that it would make it too powerful, just adjust the movement speed or damage. But thematically it makes sense and would also make Tyreal more fun to play.

If Leoric can’t pass through obstacles in ghost form, Tyrael can’t pass through obstacles in ghost form.

100% sure it would still be bad

probably but never let that stop you from making something more cool.

Ghosts can’t phase through all materials because their resentment keeps them tethered; ie, there are particular rules for ghosts.

Tyrael, however, has the misfortune of having his trait named after Imperius’ gimmick (wrath) so, clearly, that is a fixable oversight

Where’s the Justice in that?
:drum:

Ghost Form can ultimately happen every time King Leo uses the ability, and his post-death status puts him anywhere on the map, while Tyrael’s Archangel’s Wrath only lasts a few seconds, and he still ends up back in base, as opposed to Leoric, who appears anywhere.

Well, you appear where you die. It’s not always your choice

Call it “Archangel’s Judgement”

As Leoric, you appear where you moved (and you can even HS back home), not where you died.

The idea sounds cool at first but you are underestimating the value of vision. Imagine dying to Hanzo who jumps across the wall but finds escape completely impossible as he immediately gets targeted by Pyroblast or Triple Strike from the other end of the screen just because you were allowed to walk through a forest.
