Troll tries to ruin match and has to watch us win 4v5

Went into an ARAM with a nasty troll Lucio who kept spamming very offensive stuff the entire game about politics and every insult possible. He also stayed AFK in Northeast part of map near mercs 100% of the match. I said some stuff early on like “we should all stretch this match out as long as possible to waste his time” and saying I was having a blast because 4v5 were fun but wasn’t 100% on if we could win. Then it happened.

We had a Murky and still won a 4v5 without a healer + troll factor. The poor Lucio guy had to watch us win then we all flexed on him in chat during win screen. He tried to rebuttal w/ the same weak insults but he became an even bigger joke in our eyes…he had no power.

Funny how people give up when someone makes a bad pick yet we can win with no healer, a Murky and in a 4v5 situation where I am typing back to a troll constantly. Obviously Li Ming carried this hard also but a win is a win and it felt very rewarding to play it out even just to make a stand out of principle.

troll still made out the best but at least you had fun

Ming won that game single-handedly even with a healer AFK. Also responsible for about half the kills in the match. Has to be a master-tier smurf. Still impressive.

Goes to show the game is carriable given immense skill over the enemy team.

I’ve played with Salmiak, he’s not a strong player.

That Li-Ming low-key gonna look like Atlas.

Anyone who plays this game on the regular, particularly in solo queue, are aware of the issues you post about. Your post is nothing new, nothing really to discuss, and would fit better in Phase’s Salt Mountain thread.

There really is no reason to make a new thread for every game where a player trolls or goes AFK, these things happen with online games. Some advice that’s been given ad nauseam, find friends to group up with, and the problems you’re experiencing with trolls will be effectively solved.

Single-handedly? Nah, I was in the game, you weren’t. Many of the initial kills during “teamfights” were clearly off our CCs such as Octograb, Artanis swaps or just the entire team slowed by my Earthquake or lightnings while Ming mowed them down. I can admit he was the true MVP because we needed his big damage but he would have got steamrolled 1v5 without us holding them back for him. I’ve done similar performance with Li Ming when stuck with Genji, Yrel and a Nova vs a real comp. The numbers don’t lie…

Not sure who you are but I saw you had a recent post asking “if you should play HOTS?” Bud, a guy with 1000+ posts on this forum such as yourself should have been able to figure that out themselves without asking for feedback. Yet people complain about my threads…

Don’t even need to make a thread about this kind of stuff, just open the HOTS game, press PLAY on top left, make sure it is set to ARAM, then hit READY in the lower middle of the screen. Problem solved.

Yet you always pad your post count on my threads and try to give a lecture. This thread is not like any others, I’ve yet to see someone post a true 4v5 ARAM win with a Murky and no heals.

And if someone one day post it what will your next excuse be ? Also daily reminder that how many post someone had made on a forum have no relevance to any topic made unless you are a troll.

Edit: Guess you dont need to wait that long cause I already got one for you.

Match 56550489 | Heroes Profile

They had zero tanks. Zero healer but they still won cause thier Chromie and Murky was just that much better then us.

That score of your game isn’t the same thing. We won 4v5 and that means four players total without a healer. In our situation was the Lucio and didn’t participate and sat away from the fights spamming nonsense. In your game it was a 5v5 because clearly everyone is doing damage/playing from what you showed.

I’ve won a lot of ARAMs with no healers or Samuros or Murkys. In fact, I encourage no one to pick the healer so the game is more exciting. I’m just saying we won a 4v5 meaning Murky + Artanis + Thrall + Li Ming beat a full team since we had a troll healer who didn’t participate. You guys all participated so it was a normal 5v5 pretty much.

The match I had showed (winning as a massive underdog) shows the players who commonly give up in ARAM when we pick something they don’t like are big babies and/or have no work ethic/heart.

And you always choose to throw out personal attacks, rather than engage with comments other people post in response.

I disagree that this topic deserves its own thread, as while you think this is a unique or rare experience to win an ARAM game with a troll and a Murky, it isn’t rare for anyone who plays even a handful of ARAM games in a week.

Grats on winning a difficult match, but typing back constantly to a troll, isn’t quite the wholesome and uplifting narrative you think it is.

I don’t believe you actually play ARAM enough to know what the games are normally like. You play the forums and talk about the game or how the game used to be. It’s clear from your post count.

You are very out of touch if you think people win 4v5s in ARAM with no healer. Much more commonly, people won’t even play a 5v5 if you pick something they don’t like. “Let’s sit in base to end because this dude didn’t pick Muradin or a healer” is pretty common strategy for the average ARAMer.

Show me the stats of a game you played where you can show the winning team with 4 people and no healer. Other guy with a lot of posts tried to show stats but it was obviously not the same when I pointed out all players participated (obvious from his stats). I don’t think he tried to fib on purpose. What about you, are you just fibbing to up your post count? Show the proof, enough talk/false claims.

That’s fair. There was a strategy to it. I am so used to players being weak and giving up when the odds are bad I was trying to boost morale. I did get 2nd in damage while front-lining with no healer on a non-tank. I did my job to play a distraction in 1v2 or 1v3 so the Li Ming could shine. Thanks.

I don’t know but I ve reached similiar stats with li-ming at aram and I am really a bad glasscannon li-ming just throwing in orbs that can still result in stats like these…

I mean it could be a really good ming, but it certainly doesnt have to be just because of those stats.

Yeah me too. That Li Ming in my game was probably better than me at her (I can admit it) but it’s easy to get a great score in ARAM with her by lobbing orbs. Li Ming has the potential to get the highest kills just because of her passive that resets the cooldowns. It’s like a domino effect.

I’d just go by the score compared to other teammates on a similar or same hero (better comparison is all of the same hero teammate) since that’d be playing under same conditions. A match like this one can clearly show who is better at a certain hero.

I still think it is funny people in this thread think a Li Ming can solo 5 players by herself. Obviously the hero that doesn’t need to go in without heals and can do big damage at ranged is going to get a better score in that situation. The first responses to my 4v5 win were saying Li Ming did everything even though they weren’t in the game.

If anything, I’m more embarrassed that I still play Hots too frequently, but I won’t be drawn into your attempts to sidetrack relevant issues pertaining to your own discussion. I will say post count here has no bearing on how much someone plays Hots, that’s like saying someone with a high account level in Hots is automatically more skilled than someone with a low account, it’s just generalizing and reductive.

Speaking of, you’re doing a ton of that in this thread. I’ve been playing since late 2015, and the events described in your OP aren’t an unusual occurrence in my experience. I commend the fact you didn’t give up, that is what I do in these situations too, it means at least one person is playing to win. Taking this approach, can often mean you have a higher chance to win as it can inspire others on your team to stop sitting on their hands, and try to win too.

Why, oh why, would I have those stats on hand? If Hotslogs still existed, I might be able to give an overview, as I used to upload my ranked matches, something I never do for HP.

The thing is, I’m used to winning with unconventional drafts. This holds even more true if your supposition was correct that I played more in the past. In the past, in QM, tanks and healers weren’t strictly matched as they are now. Your team might have no healer or tank vs a team with a healer and tank, and you simply just had to make the best of it.

I’ve lost count of how many times in Ranked, that I’ve played main tank Uther, with four ranged assassins, vs a standard comp of Bruiser/Tank/Healer/2 ranged Assassins. I won more of those than lost, it helps to attempt to adapt to disruptive players, or poor drafts, if you want to win matches.

Again, I’m not trying to take anything away from your win, but to those of us who still play and have been playing for years, the match you had is nothing terribly unusual, and exactly why most veterans will tell you to “never give up”, even if your draft is terrible and/or you have a troll on your team.

‘You can easily win with a troll’.
Picture: enemy team has 3 terrible players, which are (each) worse than the ‘troll’ that afks (at least lucio didn’t give xp).
Yup, sounds about right. The best way to win with a troll…is to pray enemy team got at least 2 trolls.

I never said it was easy to win with a troll, it’s just not uncommon to face the scenario the OP outlined. Particularly in ARAM where many people will throw a match, as there is almost nothing on the line but a very small amount of MMR.

Oh, I wasn’t replying to you, but the original post. I guess I forgot to quote it, to make things clear(er). I am new to the forums (a few days), so I thought pressing ‘reply’ on a certain comment will only tell that person I replied. (Or maybe there’d be some sort of markers?)

Don’t be. There was that one thread asking about how often everyoine plays and I came to the realization, at least with others around here, I am an addict to HotS with how many matches I generally have each day.

Going back to OP; Salt Mines bro. Your case is not that special.

There for a hot minute in the A.I ballpit (perhaps in the other game modes) there was an outbreak of bots that ran down lanes, only used AA, die, respawn, and repeat until end of match. They later got a bit smarter in that they would retreat but would still often die.

Seeing 2-3 ‘new’ accounts with xp boosts had me clenching up knowing I was in for a nasty match.

I would take a single troll every day of the week over one or more bots mindless running down lanes to feed the enemy team. Regardless if the enemy team were bots or players.

In fact, I like having an afk troll in a game. It means the match lasts longer for more experience, I get more kills, and my stat page at the end is gonna be extra thicc. Strokes the ego and all that goodness, ya know?

Of course ya do, ya wrote this thread for that reason, rather than post it either in the GG or Salt Mountain thread.

Did you even check the replay ? Zarya was afk where globe spawns in top lane for 17 lvls then he lost connection and was a bot for additional 4-5 lvls. So yes my replay is exactly what you ask for but now you make more excuses as I thought you would do.

But as usual you are more focused on being triggered over other people’s post count then check the actual data they link you.
