The worst thing about the new patch’s building mechanic updates are that they completely change the entire balance of the game, and for reasons the devs obviously did not consider. Some heroes are brutally punished, and others it makes absolutely no difference. It is a big nerf to about 50 heroes, and a buff to the rest. Anyone who deals AoE, DoT or summons is suddenly at an enormous disadvantage.
D.Va? Cannot attack forts if a hero is present. Dead.
Gazlowe? No leaving any turrets behind, ever. (Saw a guy get obliterated with no heroes defending fort during Gaz’s push, because an enemy hero 2 lanes away stood near an old turret.)
Anub’s beetle wanders off to hero. Dead.
Anyone with a damage aura, Dead.
KtZ uses death & decay; enemy walks into it. Dead.
Lili casts Cloud Serpent: Dead.
Lunara puts a few stacks on an enemy hero, like she’s supposed to. There’s 9 seconds she can’t go near an any building, or else Dead.
For crying out loud, new Tass’s AA build: worthless on arrival because it auto-bounces to heroes. Cannot attack enemy towers at all or Dead.
Then there’s all the heroes it does not (or barely) impacts. Tyrande? Fine. Valla? Fine. Abby? Fine. Butcher? Fine. And so on for anybody with huge range or an AA/single target focus. Totally untouched.
Whether or not you like the idea of buildings defending heroes instead of heroes defending buildings, the inequality of impact makes this total trash. So many abilities you have basically no control over or are central to a hero’s power are suddenly liabilities rather than assets. It sucks a ton of hero fighting out of a hero fighting game. Thank you no.

So you’re saying if they implemented a new change where, say, every ranged AA hero dealt themselves 50 damage every shot, and someone was like “hey, this screws over ranged auto attackers,” you’d be like “lol l2p pebkac” because the problem can never be the game.

But that’s the point, they sorta did. They chose a huge group of heroes and punished them arbitrarily while not doing anything to a bunch of others. That’s exactly the point.
If i wanted towers to be like this, i would just play league of legends.
They sort of didn’t. Please link the replays of these killer towers that can’t be dealt with and can’t be stopped. Since there’s no way it’s user error I’m sure you’ll be fine doing that right?
I literally just spelled out ten ways it breaks and doesn’t break heroes, all of which are obvious. But no, let me go round up hours of footage to feed the trolls. Or you could just engage with the point, say a single rational thing in response that has a shred of thought or evidence behind it. Or go back tf under your bridge.
I’ve had no issues with the towers have to be smarter about your positioning and knowing when you can commit under a tower. This is 100% a learn to play issue.
How would you have to round up hours of footage? If the problem is as bad as you say it is shouldn’t it be easy to find a couple of 30 second Clips in almost every game you play?
I think that you’re worried that will see that the problem you’re experiencing being caused by you not changing to better utilize the new game mechanic.
