Too much emphasis on Hero damage

For mvp type rankings, there is way too much emphasis on Hero damage.

Basically as long as u top Hero rankings, u are guaranteed mvp, which is silly.

The game has minions, towers, forts, gold dubloons, seeds whatever but Hero damage is above all?
Formula should change to reflect less emphasis on Hero damage.

People care about MVP?

I just always assume the person with the least amount of deaths will usually get mvp lol

It seems to be more an emphasis on time spent dead first with hero damage second. It doesn’t really matter though. If the devs wanted an MVP that people cared about they’d just put all the players up on the screen, no stats, awards, nothing, and just let us vote for them as we see fit.

I combine this and the most time spent next to enemy siege/heroes (priority goes to heroes).

I believe it is percent of time spent dead, kill participation, then role stats (healing done, damage taken, damage dealt). My top hero in terms of MVP percentage is Lucio, and well, we all know his hero damage is poop, even with Reverse Amp.

Same. This makes sense, cause I get MVP practically every other game I play as Lucio.

1 point per kill
1 point per assist
(time spent dead/lenght) * 100 = points

1 point if you top hero/siege/healing/xp/dmg received in your team
1 point if you top hero/siege/healing/xp/dmg received in game

So the answer is no, sort of.
You can afk lane whole game and get same number of points as for hero damage. On the other hand, hero damage = kills, but remember you need to top it first to get any points.

EDIT - few heroes got different multipliers but w/e

Siege master. Mercenary lord.

Sylv AI has already won MVP awards, even more so = Aba (a decent Aba not a one that sucks) gets MVP award around 50% of games they play… Similarly also Azmo

Yeah, maybe the “hero damage over siege damage” is the part what you see/focus on, but forget that actually biggest (or 2nd biggest ?) factor for getting MVP award is EXP soak, and THAT is significantly gotten more by PvE rather than PvP, so honestly don’t your statement/observation “hypothesis” is necessarily correct tbh

And yeah, there’s that Toy questing going on these days which I can get why ppl would care about the MVP award “conditions”, but IMO = it’s not like make-or-break if it isn’t perfect (especially since there are other things to be looked at ATM)

Totally not.

Wtf I just explained that

Exactly. Its first not being a dumbass then playing well for the hero you are on. So if you are 15 death player with extremely high hero damage you aren’t going up there as mvp.
