Tips for playing Zul'jin?

I just can’t seem to get value out of him

“You want Axe?”

Even if people don’t want Axe, share it.

Regarding zuljin can someone givr me tips on how to aim twin cleave for wrong place wrong g time? Is it like moving up/down as usual then suddenly turn sideways?

Since I don’t want to write it all out again, I’ll copy-paste my own post from another thread.

Specifically these are the relevant parts you should pay attention to:

Zul’jin is a very high-skillfloor hero in normal play. He requires a decent amount of almost every skill there is in the game: positioning, timing, mechanics, awareness, and prediction.

Managing his trait is harder than it looks. You might accidentally toggle it off when you want it on because it was already on, or vice-versa. You might accidentally hit it twice when you meant to only hit it once. You might forget to press it when you should.

You need to keep your distance from most enemy heroes, as Zul’jin does not have much in-combat sustain. You also need to watch your range if you want to maximize your Twin Cleave value, especially with Wrong Place, Wrong Time.

Timing is everything for Amani Rage and Taz’dingo.

Zul’jin has no escapes, so letting yourself get ganked or dove too far from safety is a death sentence.

You’ve got to be able to predict your opponents pretty well if you want to land Grievous Throw, Twin Cleave, or especially Guillotine.

The very far and near ends of the ability are where the damage is dealt. You just have to watch your positioning and make sure you’re far enough from your opponents to hit them with the apex.

You really just have to practice this a lot. There isn’t really any trick to it to make it easier, just experience and skill.

A good thing to note here is that the Cleave build makes use out of Headhunter 9 times out of 10 (literally unless you draft into an Aba you should take HeadHunter unless you’re going Grevious Throw Build) as a result the range to the end tip is actually at the dead end of your attack range with both range increases from “you want axe” and Headhunter
so being at ideal range helps a ton, another is to remember what you are if you went that build. you’ll still be doing auto attack build but remember if you went the CLeave build you are a mage by design, position yourself accordingly, if you have some long range mages like Li Ming in your roster the instincts from playing them should get you into good positions for the Cleave

AA anything, anytime you can. It doesn’t matter if it’s the tank or if they heal it, just keep chucking axes and eventually they’ll die.

Learn your limits and manage your health. It’s very tempting to go all-out burning your health on trait&Amani Rage (and rewarding when you can afford to), but if you’re too reckless it can be easy for enemies to get a quick burst/cc combo to delete you when you’re low. You have no escapes, so take care you don’t go too deep.
