I know it’s been a while since the rework and this might not be seen as relevant but am I the only person that dislikes this mechanic. It’s essentially hammer’s siege toggle range ported to a healer. It sounds good in theory but whenever I’m in the heat of things it never seems like my toggle is reliable to switch out. I don’t like that both their kits are centered around balancing this aspect.
Vampiric rounds just seems like a poorly designed talent tbh, nobody is going to let you just free 5 shot them in shrike mode. actually i hardly get any stacks in shrike mode because it’s too penalizing and easy to counter play. that being said i usually don’t toggle to shrike mode unless we are pushed behind our gate.
it just seems she has a lot of terribly designed talents. IMO debilitating dart should be changed to a Sleep Dart modifier but get rid of the slow that’s there or keep the slow, swap it to a level 16 talent, move active reload to 4, and remove slumber shells.
then with slumber shells gone maybe add a talent that grants bonus healing for moving or something so that you can preserve a gameplay style that’s not fully centered around shrike.
I’m probably alone in this but I much prefer the old ana’s playstyle over this new one, the only good thing that came was that they buffed Eye of Horus’ healing potential but aside from that it seems like a downgrade.
another thought is that maybe her trait can be changed so if she is stationary for a certain amount of time she gains the effects of shrike. i’m just not a big fan of shike or active D traits because it always seems like whenever i try to do a complicated play it always fails me, like with Rexxar’s bear interactions or Anduin’s pull
I think it’s a pretty cool talent. If you know you can’t use it/make any profit from it then don’t take this talent. I like it when healers have an infinite quest talent so i can have my own little minigame while i am supporting. Ana can be really amazing/op in the late game if she got a lot of stacks on that quest.
There are also other talents that make it easiert to stack this quest. Sleepdart can add stacks for example. Since those stacks also reduce the enemy players spell dmg on lvl7 it’s good to put stacks on them anyway. On lvl20 you can get extra auto-attack range and attack speed and then you can really stack up like crazy.
I like such talents that aren’t that viable for competitive play but offer some fun stuff for normal players ^^
With premade teams you could even build a comp around Ana’s stacking quest just for fun. Buffing her attackspeed and bring a 2nd healer for example.

imo active reload is not THAT OP, everything in that tier gauges pretty similarly. It’d be competing against biotic enhancements and overdose. Overdose is curently the overperforming talent and even then they could just reduce the charges from 3 to 2 to bring more in line with early game talents but maybe make the CD 30 seconds so it’s a worthy benefit.
For example in Brawl she can keep up 5 stacks all the time. In Storm League she would be lucky to keep 2-3 stacks on a single player.
I don’t mind the game having non-serious talents which can work in casual or fun modes.
I was also a big fan of Bye Bye (Chromie) in QM, sure, it was not a “competitive” talent but in that mode it was a great tool to have especially when your team had no heal or tank.
Active reload works great with her lvl 13
So you have 4 shots of a slow/root/stun removal or movement speed increase
Why 4 , you shoot 1 press the activate then you have 3 more shots + the cd
And all the benefited the talent gives
On top of that you heal a lot, it gives an amazing burst heal especially with the healing grenade. If you give active reload on 4 and sharpshooter on 16 you will do more then any other healer

It’s why moving talents from tier to tier isn’t always very cut and dry and can often times be a buff because now Competing talents become combo’s
An example of this done on a more minor scale was the semi recent Li Li Change where the Slow Talent got shifted from 4 to 13 and got traded with a Spell Power and Cooldown reduction talent
That was you could argue a buff because now that cooldown reduction talent combo’d with Gale Force/Mass Vortex for increasing Li-Li’s damage output
Its kinda important for her to have though. It means if you take poke damage you can aa pve targeys to get that health back. If you get dove you can lose more slowly by healing yourself and it gives team time to join you. Dehabilitating dart would be alot easier as an e thing and i admit i never use it for that reason, but thats a LTP issue. If i were good id be able to pick it. I always get sleep darts add doses to enemy. It gives me more healing and synergizes with spell power reduction at 7.
As for trait, yea it sucks. If you use it at wrong time and get dove AND miss e you’re dead. But again thats part of her design. Trait gives you alot of much needed healing by letting you get long ranged piercing qs. It doesn’t mean it should always be activated.
the thought of having debilitating dart on E would be that it would function similar to how Tyrande has harsh moonlight at 13. It would be nice to have a disengage that has the potential to pierce. as is it only affects one ally, is on a separate longer CD, and only affects 1 foe.
Wait… have i been reading this talent wrong all along? for some reason i thought it only benefited the active while in aim down sights. I guess maybe i can just use my old playstyle if i don’t need to activate that because frankly i hate doing the aim down unless it’s really clutch for heals and i need to. she also has really great poke outside of using aim down sights.
Also to be clear, Shrike and Aim Down Sights are separate effects. Shrike is the passive that adds a stacking poison to Ana’s auto attacks. Aim Down Sights is the active toggle.
What she needs imo is for grenade to have a reduced cooldown and heal more but only do 50-75% antiheal. Then she could have a viable w build. Atm e talents are go to on most tiers.
13 is great, 20 is good, 16 has a mustpick talent and there’s nothing they can do to change it. Her w builds 1-7 could use work。
