But, there has indeed been gaming communities for over 20 years. Not as large as those that exist today. But definitely there. Lot of people had home internet in the 90’s.

As someone who started getting homeschooled in 99, neopets online community, and then runescape in 01 really allowed me to get the social interaction I needed, So yeah I agree with you 100%
