And its name is blackhearts bay :stuck_out_tongue: Can we please vote that we have this map % wise less and the maps worthy of ranked be there more. I barely know anyone who likes this map.

They should just reduce coins on mercs and let them give one coin each, and change the function of the small pirate camps. Instead of small pirate camps giving 2 coins if captured, change it that a single pirate minion will spawn on one of the lanes, and if capping the enemy’s one, then an extra one will spawn on a random but separate lane.

Too much gold on that map. It needs to be reduced and it’s one of those maps where your hard plays can be over in a single teamfight from early game to all the way through. I’d love that map to make a come back though.

BHB shouldn’t be part of Ranked, I agree. Its overpowered objective and overabundance of coins leads to some very screwy matches. For starters I think a drop penalty like Spider Valley should be enacted. Coin bearers getting killed would lose half the coins they carry so you can’t just pick it all back up. This alone would solve 80% the problem with BHB. How?

Coins just keep stacking up in BHB. While many complain about the cannons reliably bursting down a fort/keep this shouldn’t be such menace if it wouldn’t be laughably easy to get coins and no counterplay to ramp down the tension regarding the objective. No, stealing the coins just shifts power, doesn’t lessen the importance of the objective. So a mechanism to lose coins to the void should be neccessary.

Yes please, QM is painful enough and this map makes it worse. It’s also in the URD map pool, another reason to recommend SL.

maybe they can just nerf the cannonball damage like they did the nukes in warhead junction. nukes there are a small tickle compared to what they used to do. and i miss having the center of the nuke deal extra damage.

the best solution to make that map good is to allow the enemy team that’s getting bombarded to attack blackheart’s ship and the team that paid him coins must defend the ship against that team to get value out of it! instead of pay and just walk away take camps collect even more coins you need to pay and defend it to get value or lose it all.

It’d have the opposite effect. BHB already has the problem of some just camping objective all the time. Rather than making more fuss around the objective it’d be better if we can ensure it’s less. Coin bearers only dropping 50-75% of their coins (with the rest forever lost) would avoid some of the heat already. Maybe a damage nerf is also needed but after coins are less abundant I think the rest resolves itself.

yeah, when you’re already losing and then lose another teamfight that transfers 10+ gold to the enemy team, it’s pretty demoralizing. lol. reducing the gold loss by half might be a good idea.

I don’t even believe this is paint looks like Photoshop to me.

The giveaway is the crude black boxes I replaced the original text with. I put a little spray on the corners.

Oh now I see, yeah that would have been easy to fix with a bandage tool.

Which basically blends colors in hard edges or basically what I’ve been spamming to make that mercy template I’ve made months ago, still though pretty janky and is a hard fix.

I like the fact that some non-meta heroes and talents come into play, for this map. That is one of the big strengths of HotS; by having a map pool, the meta gets changed up for each map.
