Bite. English is not my main language so whatever.
Speech is the opposite of clicking a thumbs down icon actually.
Nothing stops you from saying what you think.
No they don’t there are a lot of very good games that have no lore or an equivalent amount of lore that existed pre-orphea comics
But it is just a game about other blizzard games. That’s what it was sold as and was for many years
They do but it is entirely unimportant. If you could find more than 10 LoL or DOTA2 players combined that have an in depth understanding of the lore of those games I’d be shocked
Nobody here is harassing them and there’s no indication that they realized their mistake. Less than a year has gone by since the last one of these they did and caught flak for.
This should’ve been where development of Qhira was either suspended or reworked to fit with an established character. They mention a backlog of mostly complete heroes which she was a part of but either that is a lie or the backlog was a comically small 3 characters of which 1 was a hero people generally weren’t interest in.
It’s also worth mentioning what a stupid idea this was. This reeks of the people that thought diablo immortal at blizzcon was a good idea and for largely the same reason. People at blizzcon are a fan of classic blizzard games, warcraft, starcraft, diablo, and overwatch and come for those games. HotS is a property in the same way smash bros is a property, just like how nobody think Master Hand is a reason to play smash the lore of HotS is not why people play this game. To make the big reveal in front of all your fans be a nexus original hero would be profoundly disappointing
And we saw how well that worked out with an even bigger nobody released less than a year since the last nobody but without even the “hype” of comics to establish her.
This means that the backlog was all of 3 characters or there was a lie either about the backlog existing at all or them putting nexus heroes on the backburner.
Also if we know that it was her or nobody then they must’ve known about this situation for a lot longer and could’ve put the “hype machine” into effect for her months ago and given her at least some sort of lore or build up before teasing a completely unknown hero from a place we never heard of.
No new release for the time being would’ve been better. Give us a rework or two to bide time until there is a proper hero ready. People already expect a slow as molasses rate of hero releases this year what’s another month if it means we get someone interesting.
Obviously it will be because there’s no chance they’d do 2 nexus heroes in a row when people didn’t want the first and responded even worse to the 2nd.
Close but not quite. Putting all that time and effort into a hero that people didn’t want (as the lukewarm reception for orphea indicates) was something that should never have happened and should’ve been avoided once the reception to orphea was clear.
Since that wasn’t done the next best option would’ve been to stick to the plan of delaying, not cancelling, her release until proper context was established for her and instead put the resources to work on the hero they should’ve been focusing on instead of her.
Quiet you, don’t burst their safe bubble like that!
Moderator is scaring me, if i really write what i think, i know i ll be ban another 3 months, so no thank. I keep what i wrote. If you don t understand and see what is going around us, cannot open your eyes and your sight.
I hope your complaining and that of the other complainer purists yields nothing and you either learn to accept new stuff that isn’t rehashed and recycled from another game, or leave. But i bet we’ll both be disappointed.
-A Nexus Fanboy
Considering that was the entire point of HotS, and that “the Nexus” was just made up as a platform for what you call “rehashed and recycled content” - known and loved Blizzard heroes, ie the entire basis of a crossover hero brawler which you just insulted.
So let’s make your ideal game, delete all Blizzard characters from other franchises and see how Orphea vs. Qhira works out.
You can’t tell me to be quiet. I have free speech!
It’s so free that everyone can have it.
How did they insulted the game exactly? Because they put 2 original characters? Is this serious?
But why old devs left it in the first place? Because people hated them, just like they received their latest hero… they hated them so much to the point the game was no longer profitable for this scale of development. You see how much Riot games is making money on their potato mobile-like f2p game while HotS quality is on completely different level (as well in ethical microtransaction point of view, LoL compared to HotS business model is inhuman), people dont have idea how much it costs to maintain multiplayer servers (how many skins people need to buy to pay for server alone?) and let alone develope game of this quality + esports. Her quote is pretty much spot on. You aren’t paying them enough. I already received the child event like some sort of irony, here you go manchildren! You only have demands and not supporting the game enough, so how it can ‘grow’? But even though budget cuts, they so far provided amazing quality content, maybe except that child event.
About that. I did it and got banned from forums so no thank you.
I didn’t say there are no consequences. I’m saying you can say what you want.
You could walk up to the toughest looking guy you see in a crowd and start insulting his mother. Nothing stops you. But there are consequences.
I didn’t insult them. I just pointed out about how cancer aka evil some heroes are for the game. If that is insult then they need to grow up.
Btw censorship isn’t consequence.
I doubt they would ban you from the forum for that. People make topics like this every day. (See currently Quira) And they’re not being banned.
Because this is hots forums which is a dead game. Ow forums is difderent since it is about an active game
dont care i only care is fun to play and do suits my playstyle.
I’m sorry. Are you saying other people are not banned because the forum is dead? (Which obviously it isn’t) If so that doesn’t explain why you were banned.
Nope. Because absolutely NO ONE asked for Qhira.
In fact, the devs themselves had said they weren’t going to do an original hero for a while and almost immediately did it.
Am I the only one who feels like everyone in this thread claiming that doing an original character “is a slap in the face to fans of Blizzzard” feel like those people aren’t actually fans of Blizzard and are just saying they are in an effort to get their point across? 'Cuz, that’s exactly what such posts feel like.
“Oh, I don’t like the hero they released, but the only way to get my point across is to claim that I’m a longtime fan of Blizzard and this hero feels like a slap to the face. Better go announce it to the forums!”
ffs people.
I asked for Qhira. Sue me.
