I could understand having the XP globes, hell, the tower focus even made sense (too bad you gave in to the QQ), but this RNG buff across the board is just stupid.
Nobody is going to take this game seriously anymore. If killing ranked was your objective, then you could have simply removed it from the play section.
Oh and nice thing covering it behind the OP Mei kit. Seems most people have not seen the actual issue at hand.
But i donât want rng-weather.
Although it may be fun in Brawl or maybe even Quickmatch it ruins competetive.
Thunderstorm:
Team with AA-Focus gets buffed,
Team with spellshots gets nerfed.
Shield:
So⊠itâs a flat-bonus Shield => Low-max hp team gets buffed
High-Max HP-team gets nerfed
Team with shield-damage gets buffed.
Mist:
Team with vision-talents and spell-damage gets buffed
Team with AA-Focussed heroes and targeted-damage spells getâs nerfed.
If the better teams gets buffed, they will stomp the enemy even harder.
If the weaker team gets buffed, they will probably win- even though they are the weaker team. Which is super frustrating.
For assassins maybe.
Idea is cool but solutions will cause drama.
Foggy Mists can lead to passive play.
Snow Flurries will help mobile heroes and ranged assassins.
Rain Storms helps 100-0/collapse and dive.
Not sure about movement speed, depends how it stacks.
Meh tbh. This pseudo ârandomnessâ is a non-issue for me but when it kicks at the bad moment, when one of the teams is behind⊠eek.
I have to agree. A random buff that procs randomly and can tip the scales in a fight completely outside of playersâ control is just STUPID.
I can see that being fun in a brawl, or some other arcade game mode. But in the main competitive modes?
HELL NO!
I honestly donât know what Blizzard are thinking. A competitive game should NEVER be affected by random events. If even 1% of fight outcomes changes because randomly a buff procced and killed/saved someone - then itâs a FAIL.
The thing about previous anomalies - is that it was always 100% in the hands of the player. Thereâs nothing random or unpredictable about them. You may like them or not, but they are 100% fair and predictable.
Lightning shield and speed buff proccing in the middle of the fight isnât.
Imagine you have 50 hp left, and your enemy has 500, but you know you can cc them and burst them down. So you cc them, jump to finish them off⊠And unexpectedly they get a lightning shield that kills you.
Why donât you just put in a mechanic that every 2 minutes destroys a fort or takes 10% of core randomly? Itâll be fun when it procs so that all damage goes towards one team. Isnât it a fun idea?
Random has NO PLACE in moba, except maybe as a crit chance. Or something like a random game objective (punisher element) that both teams have an equal chance of getting.
Unless youâre in a 3+ stack in master+, no one takes this game seriously anyway.
The match quality is garbage. The player base is garbage. The MMR system is garbage. The accompanying harcore-player-banning-mechanism oops i mean reporting system is garbage.
Who the hell cares if its snowing, at least it will look cool.
All I want is to know if players have warning of some kind or if just in the middle of a fight ETC can go stealth in a bush or something ridic. All ten players being aware of when itâll be during draft is fine, having it occur after draft could lead to picks being nerfed by the weather. Itâs important that players can cleanly draft around it knowing like, five minutes into the game itâll snow, or something. Then both teams can react accordingly.
Itâll be a problem if just one game it doesnât happen then in the next it happens 3 mins in, and then again every two minutes, and then the next game it happens once at 12 minutes. You could be drafting around something that never occurs or draft against something that ends up being a huge component of the match.
Am I identifying that conflict well enough? Because itâs the worst problem by far that players could have no idea of when. Surely the Nexus has a solid meteorologist!
Lol donât worry this game is a meme since long ago.
Tower change was horrible.
Exp change was horrible.
Weather is horrible.
And the next anomaly will also be horrible.
They try so hard to keep this game alive with those changes that nobody asked forâŠ
But this game just need some simple change
MM change. Stop putting bronze 5 with diamond 1
Fix the AI when someone dc.
Stop with those 30 wins in a row then 30 lose in a row series.
I just wait for the time when you have to collect stars or jump on turtles to gain extra XP and collect random buffs on the map. Random effects⊠say hello to Hearthstone.
They basically turn the whole game into brawl mode. Luckily this game never worked for esports. If it still was played competitively, now would be the time for esport teams to turn backs on this game.
Blizzard really says goodbye to serious core games. Slowly but surely they try to please casual players and remove core gamers from their games, to finally release their new crappy micro transactions mobile games.
Actually LyrasVulture is the biggest meme on the forum. Has to hijack every post day and night, 24/7 to play Blizzardâs little hand puppet that has to defend the biggest crap Blizzard added to the game. There is basically nothing that was added that was not defended by her/him/it.I wonder if this meme is actually playing the game or is just too busy posting nonsense on this forum and white knighting for Blizzard.
I donât think this is going to be a permanent addition. I think itâs just something fun theyâre doing to spice up next season. Itâs like when Hearthstone added a bunch of Wild cards to Standard for like three months last year.
I talk about League.
I donât care about QM.
And it was an exageration.
What i was telling is that the gap between players is too much.
I donât mind getting the occasionnal ânoobâ once in a while , but this âonce in a whileâ is 9 games out of 10.
Iâm a regular high diamond and occasionnal master player, not the best, but not the worst also.
And i still get every games teammates that
-overextend despite the pings/messages
go lvl 9 v 10
canât time camps
dont depush
are blind to many basics content of this game
etc⊠etcâŠ
Only change this game needed to stay comptetitive was stop putting people of too different skills together in each games.
I played 20 games with lucio recently. Cause i wanted to play heal, and he was fun to play. (cause all i had left in this game is having fun, cause blizzard remove all the fun aspect for me.)
I topped siege/exp/heroes/healing/kill/assist/less death in almost EVERY game i played.
Im not talking about 1 game, but 20.
So you understand that I donât care at all about this anomaly at all.
Let them put more and more rng and horrible change made for casual players, and more and more ârealâ player will leave this game for others.
Do you mean stay competitive with others in the genre like League of Legends or do you mean to stay a competitive game?
Because I donât really agree.
It wasnât going to be able to compete with LoL. It should have stuck to its guns of being a different kind of game, which ammo helped a lot.
And as for a competitive scene, thatâs up to the players. But itâs helped a lot by the game being fun. And variety and having a high skill ceiling can help a lot there.
I donât like the way this anomaly is implemented, but I do think it can have a use in the game in some way. The same way that objectives and mud/conveyor belts have affected the game, I think weather at specific locations or an obvious and reliable movement pattern could create areas on the map that are more interesting to interact with.
The developers completely overlooked the possibility of lightning effect breaking sleep effects early. Itâs going to take another 3 weeks of bug hunting to patch all the bugs same as when they first introduced the xp anomaly. What am I going to do during this time? Probably limiting my play time to brawl mode like the last time.
I donât mind them trying out something new but player attitudes during the adjustment periods are the worst. Half of players frustrated and hostile over losing because someone on the team didnât bother to read patch notes to understand the new mechanics.
