Why come out with this now?
The mastery rings are a dull addition for players who have been in the game for a while and/ or who have quit playing. The majority of people with low lvl accounts, these days, are smurf accounts or intermittent players that don’t care about leveling.
Lvl 25 is not hard to get… What about releasing content for players who have characters over lvl 75, 100, 250 and 500?
Suggestions:
Bring back skins based on tier level. (15, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, etc)
Taunts that actually show your hero level after 100+, and support all the way up to lvl 999.
Sprays that show hero level, changes flare the higher the level and/ or can be customized like your portrait.
Banners that reflect hero level, changes flare the higher the level and/ or can be customized like your portrait.
I figured in 4+ years they would have thought of something better than cheap rings. At least make us feel valued and accomplished for spending in game currency and investing years in this game…
I understand you want something for your high lvled Heroes. You are right, there could be cool ways to make ppl shine.
But!
Lvl 15 is mostly enough to master a Hero, after that it’s usually just fuss, and “skill” (Hero lvl) related skins should never return (tho I don’t fear that they’ll be ever reimplemented, it was a failed design and would cost too much for nothing to make them).
Mastery ring is a cheap solution both as gold sink and to give us something that was request since they’ve remove Master Skin.
Is it the ideal solution? Probably not and I for sure would like to see more ring (at last one for each taunt’s level), but it’s still something afterall.
Dunno , i prefer having a small token that i show all game long that a small token i may not even use once in game.
And i like my blizzcon and 6.5 banners so i wouldn’t likely use a mastery banner.
Whining about this new feature when they might not even have added it. We should be glad they are actually doing something now better than the 2.0 team.
I agree that true hard core start beyond lvl 100. While it is fine to mark lvl 15 hero, I will rather want to see something for lvl 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 300, 500.
I dont know… Ive never considered anything under 30 being a main .
At 15 you only got the basics .
50 you supposed to know how to use every talents and at 100 you should be knowing exactly what you are doing at all time .
I always seen levels like a belt in martial arts.
Belt doesnt equates to skills , but rather to what skill levels is expected of you for having such rank.
