Marketing in hots is not present. They do a awesome job at their balance patches, but the marketing is awful. I love the game , as many others do. I want it too be successful

They are your visiting cards. It shows you still provide quality. You need to show your still active and alive
Skins and events
They post nothing on social media or on their official sites. They just put it there. So no marketing. I wanted to change portraits, that is how I discovered they had 2 new skins and 1 new mount. By accident.
And its not even hard to do. Just post a pictor on facebook/twitter. “Angelic Corrupted Diablo joins the party”
Brawls:
We have some cool ones like escape from Braxis, Azmodunk and pull party. We never see them again

They do a decent/good job at this.
I’m sure you guys can also list a lot of things. But do they want to make money? It seems like the balance team and the design team are doing a good job. They still do a steady flow of heroes. But their marketing is non-existent.
Heroes of the storm is like how JoJo used to be before 2012, a really good thing but unknew by almost everyone, but in JoJo’s case the anime helped a lot and now the series is in his best moment in terms of popularity.
If HotS has an aggresive marketing campaing I’m pretty sure the game will provide even more profits to Belial/Blizzard, but those stupids investors can’t notice what is good. Also, even if the game wasn’t good, with good advertising you can sell trash to people, I mean, look at CoD.
Offhand, the first two are irrelevant. Every game everywhere is always dying, according to rumors, and financial reports are not the first or even fifth place I go to when checking out a game.
Hots is known to be the noobs moba. It’s considered a watered down version. So not much we can do to convince lol or dota players to play a less hard core moba.
I don’t think Hots is this it’s just different with funnier more interactive team fights, but this is what the moba community sees it as.
Well if a game is rumored to be dying. The first step is to go on social media that they are still present. Every game has that yes. But with the fall of hgc and budget cuts the rumers surrounding hots are more active
Even if they upload fanart and by asking " who is your favorit healer" It shows its still alive.
And by showing off skins and balance patches. It shows they are releasing new content
I wanna some Dio, Kira, Diavolo skins for Chomie, Jotaro skin for Rexxar (Misha would be Star Platinum), Abbacchio skin for Abathur (Symbiote would be moody blues) Death 13 for Malthael, White album for Arthas, Sheer heart Attackt for Probius, Baby face for Murky (His egg would be the computer part of the stand), William A Zepelli for Chen (The 3 pandas would be the 3 Zepellis), Toom of the boom family skin for TLV, Scary monsters for Greymane, Magician red for Kael’thas, Orus for Kel’thuzad, Gold experience for Malfurion, Silver chariot for Cassia.
Face it, nobody new really wants to play MOBAs. LoL and Dota 2 have the benefit of having A LOT of players brainwashed/addicted enough to continue playing the genre despite it not actually being a good genre. We’re playing HotS because it righted some of the wrongs of the MOBA genre, but those very wrongs are things which players of the other MOBAs cling to - HotS will be called bad and casual for its improvements, much like LoL is bad an casual when compared to Dota 2.
If they hadn’t cancel the ESPORT like what they did, it wouldn’t be dying. I mean, they shouldn’t haven started stupid ESPN or esport by them to begin with at all if they are not planning to go all in.
Then Actiblizzard decides to oh cancel the very day before the actual competition screwing fanbase and all the pros they have built up? There’s no getting back up out of that.
They literally lynch themselves and the game deserves to die at this point.
