The Junkrat problem

So. Some of you may, or may even not agree with this. However, this is just something that seems to have crossed my mind while encountering junkrat on the battlefield. I feel as if junkrat is a little too overpowered for something as simple as Heroes of the Storm. He is a ranged class that seemingly has an unlimited amount of range when you get right down to it. His attacks consistently roll, and the physics based. Something entirely unique in our little MOBA game. That strikes me as a little too much, but it won’t be something I’ll be making them entirely huge fuss about. I personally don’t like OverWatch characters in this game due to the fact I feel as if they have hypermobility, and that in itself seems a bit off however, but my real issue with this hero in particular are his abilities. I’m trying to be as unbiased as possible. As I mentioned I just don’t like Heroes of the Storm OverWatch characters. But I’m going to break you down as to why I feel this needs to change. His trap ability, as well as his bomb. I understand that junkrat has these basic abilities and is implemented into our game as best as possible to being the first person shooter. However, the one thing that’s overly different is the fact that his trap and bomb are completely, and utterly invulnerable. They can’t be destroyed, and in some cases that can be avoided. It seems a little too much for something like this, something that is so heavily stunning, as well as crowd control, can’t be avoided unless you literally avoid it. Omen all, my issues will see my issues, but as a gamer, and someone who does enjoy Heroes of the Storm, I feel like this change. I’m not saying get rid of him. As much as I wish he would be gone, was simply add held pool to these abilities making them destructible just like they are in OverWatch. Do you guys agree? Do you feel like he should change, or stay the way he is? If I want to go even deeper into this, I feel like is hypermobility is completely an utter bull, but that’s just me throwing in a little extra two cents.

If you think that hypermobility is the issue, then you should have rant about Genji not Junkrat.
Junkrat is in a pretty good spot right now, like almost all OW Heroes aside from Genji itself that can really be hard to tune properly with his current kit.

Not true, ripper air is a problematic talent imho.

If Junkrat was OP and the part that made junkrat OP was his traps, then people would talent into traps. However nearly 95% of junkrat players goes for grenade build. Although I really like the concussion mine build myself. So fun at 20 when you get the storm talent to reduce CD of mine to 2~~ seconds if you hit an enemy hero with one, then just spamming it to throw them all around constantly.

Paragraphs are your friend… Not the least bit OP.

I think Hanzo is more annoying

I 100% agree with you, but as far as Hypermobility goes I feel ALL Overwatch characters have it. So I left it with just junkrat for now

He is no problem at all. Sewing chaos is hard to do. Takes commitment to do right. Not much was said (that i can remember) about him. I remember him and alex annoying people withe their ā€œget out of jail freeā€ ULTs.

Of all the Overwatch characters to point out as strong enough to warrant nerfs, you chose the one with the lowest win rate and the lowest play rate?

The only problem with Junkrat is his horrible talent tree.

Junkrat traps are there to zone you and they don’t even do a good job of that unless you talent into them, which you can’t do because the trap quest can’t be reliably completed.

They’re there for you to go ā€˜Oh there’s a trap, I can’t walk there’. Nobody actually steps on them. If you could just right click on one and kill it they’d go from ā€˜pretty bad’ to ā€˜completely useless’.

The lack of formatting… IT BURNS MY EYES!!!

The only thing I hate about Junk is his mine. Like, I hate it with a burning passion. He is already good, has great range, good poke, trap…
Why does he need a mine which can knock people far away than Garrosh’s throw or Stitche’s hook?
And talented it has no CD and knocks even further?

I think that mine is totally stupid…

He’s fine because everything is avoidable. Grenades are slow, and everything else has to arm first and stays visible. His Ults are entirely avoidable as well. Ripper air may be too strong, but he’s basically Chromie. They only get a lot of value if you ignore their attacks.
