Surge of light needs more nerf

Talent is still way to OP - pop dmg through armor to active AOE blast. Not only dmg you need to take isn’t anything big but it can be spammed. My idea to fix it is to simply make it more like Li Ming calamity - aka can be still used in offensive and defensive way but it won’t be used mindlessly spamming anymore. Idea is this, dmg threshold would be same (650 on lvl 0) but dmg would be increased to 520 (roughly 2and 3/8 times more than currently), however after using it Cassia would lose avoidance for 8 seconds (aka cooldown of skill would be at least 8+ sec) and she would be easier to kill - so it won’t be simply mindless spamming any longer.)

I think your burf is not the right call. Don’t buff its dmg. Don’t punish ppl using it.
Imo, it just should have a cd.

Also tho I’m all on for more SoL nerfs, Cassia atm is in a really low winrate, so once that talent tier is more balanced, she needs some baselime buffs.

I think the nerf at the baseline passive bonus damage against Blinded target really hurt her. Though I could be wrong, but that’s the first thing that came to mind.

I would suggest 15 sec CD for the start.

Well CD would be good start to test if it was problem. I’ve suggested dmg increase because popping it 4 or 5 times with constant heal instantly is game changer and without some add to dmg talent could be considered dead weight. As for CD I think it should be maybe lower but gain only from heroic sources.

SoL is fine, but her other talent choices on 7 needs some buffs. If it would be “op”, then her winrate woud represent it, but her winrate is low as you say…

What’s the problem with the ability? It’s has a condition: Cassia needs to get damage to get used to it. That’s already a tough one for a mid-ranged assassine with no escape.

Btw her condition is kinda soft cooldown, because she can’t use it until the condition is completed. If the damage taken on the requirement is too low, they might increase the condition.

Imagine Lili would have a similar ability that works with her trait? Would that make Lili viable or op? I am not sure, because Genji’s talent is considered bad compared to Cassia.

Considering that is most picked talent with the highest winrate and popularity higher than 65% according to hotslogs and heroes profile (done without other filters) … yeah it is OP because other talent are lame compared to it. Other problem that even without healers it can be used 3 times before Cassia dies which on level 7 equal 867 dmg aoe - for doing absolutely nothing. If there would be additional condition like Cassia can’t be on max avoidance or Cassia hp must be below 40% or there would be cooldown it would be ok but currently? “Hey keep healing me so I can literally spam D and kill whole enemy party even if I missed all of my other skills …” And here is problem - Cassia isn’t as squishy as Tracer or Li Ming but if ignored she can do similar dmg so you can’t be like focus healer as Cassia will use this to focus your healer. And without healer she still have that approx 1k dmg just for being punching bag unless you heavy CC her. It would be same as if Xul would get on 16 or 20 Iron Maiden curse or Johanna having bramble aura.

Or just limit the damage to a certain number of hero targets. Big crowds are the only situation where I could imagine this ability being problematic. For 1v1 situations I don’t care much in particular.

Or take the healing wave approach, where the primary instance of damage is instant, but would start bouncing around with each consecutive jump dealing significantly less. Nvm, I just reinvented her ball ult.
