Giving the laser drill the health mechanic might be ok but all this other stuff would either make the ability worthless or there wouldn’t be much point doing the health thing.
The drill works, the only awkward thing with it, is there is a slight delay while the drill is deploying and when the towers/forts will start to focus it (i think it should be addressed, it’s really annoying).
Now if you are deploying the drill under towers, they will start to focus it, but if minions are going in range meanwhile, they will stop focusing the tower to target the first minions that are in range.
Don’t even know why the changes were made to begin with. Not like hordes of people were complaining that summons weren’t taking gradual damage instead of timing out.
I remember when they changed Azmo’s Demonic Invasion to explode after 10 seconds and, I’m like why? That’s one of the cool things that made the ult different was that the demons could last forever.
The new janitor just reminds me of like a bored housewife just moving furniture around for no reason.
I actually like the new change, it makes early game interactions with Zagara far less painful since you can “reduce their duration” by simply poking the summons.
As for the list of exceptions, they all make sense.
Nova and Samuro clones’ wouldn’t be good fake outs if they decayed.
Banner, Boombox, and the various Totems are only summons in technicality, they don’t lane or tank hits in lane.
Cannon and Locust are designed to ward/push an area for a set duration.
Wisp, Eye of Kilrog, and Mines have basically no health anyways.
Tychus heroic would suck if you could just poke it twice to eat 80% of its’ duration.
