Hey, so i had a 42 % win rate from previous season (was in bronze 5). I played 3 games to get a new ranking, winning 1 out of 3. I got bronze 5 again. Then i played my first game, i’ve won it and got mvp too (so, total 4 games, 2 victories). Well, I got only 26 points for this victory. How the hell am i supposed to get to rank 4? Should I win 10 and more games in a row? I hope that this is some kind of a technical issue

With the new design, players in Bronze 5 will gain/lose far fewer points per game than players in all of the other leagues and divisions.

This has been happening to me since season 2… i dont understand why… and the post linked below does explain anything… i was in a simplier situation, i played my 3 ranked… got three bronze 5 match,… won 2 lose 1 and got MVP in 2 of them {1 was the lose} but i still not bronze 5 and only get 26 pts for each win…
what makes it worse is i played about 10 games in season 2 with friends, won 8 at the start we were all bronze 5… by the end i was the only player still bronze 5 and one was even bronze 3…
what makes it worse is only three seasons ago i was playing GOLD… my MMR [according the Hero profile] is still GOLD but i only get Bronze 5… PLEASE can someone investigate and come back to me… Reset my MMR if you have too… this game isnt fun being stuck in bronze 5 with some player that just dont care…
There are no extra points for MVP or other post-game awards.
Those awards are just cosmetic.
Playing placements with higher ranked friends also will not affect your personal rank gain (which is based on your previous seasons MMR).
For example you cannot jump a Bronze account to Platinum by winning three placements with a Platinum friend. At most, winning all placements might put a Bronze 3 into Bronze 2.
i think you missunderstood me… what i was trying to point out is that in all three qualification games, i played must better than everyone else but i still get a ranking of bronze 5… (i can only beat the players in front of me). and when i mention the playing with friends, all were bronze 5 but only i was get 26 pts were everyone else was get 200ish… and were getting out of bronze after 4 or 5 games… i have to win over 20 games without lose to get out of bronze 5… my MMR 2428 according to Heroes profile… which i believe is around gold… so why am i suddenly playing bronze.
Heroesprofile may not fully assess your individual rank, the site is mostly good for large statistical samples like global hero win rates (unless you upload every single game). It is not necessarily accurate for showing your true in-game MMR.

The game only counts wins or losses, there is no performance based ranking no matter how good you play (or how many MVP awards you get).
Your rank is also largely based on your previous rank. If you were Bronze 5 last season, winning 3 placement matches may still put you at Bronze 5. Placements have little to no impact on your rank (they may move a player 1-2 divisions).
then the system must be completely broken cause i have been a platnium and a gold player, i had several month off and and let my friend play a few games and he is a bronze 5 player [maybe a little harsh he is a bronze 1-3 range… but now i cant get out of bronze 5… and i do upload ALL games to Heroes profile… but dont play as much now cause it just way to fustration getting only 26pts.
The measure is rubbish, I started playing recently, I went down because of inexperience and lost many games, the system went crazy when I entered bronze 5 and I reset the points when it was not so bad, making me start from 0 points, and Now when I win it only gives me 5 points, this game is rubbish when trying to get us players to get angry and abandon it because we cannot get out of bronze 5, it is totally demoralizing and a scam, since I can have 90% of victories that I could not get out of bronze 5, that’s just a sample of how abandoned this game is.
