Seriously, i am feeling guilty of having way too much fun playing this hero in aram… as if the always in reset range scenarios is not enough, it is almost impossible to get flanked or dived on without having 2+ teammates around you.
Hero is way too easy to dominate entire team with, one dies, all die… thinking she might use some aram only treatment like Ragnaros got…
Yeah Ming is one of the best ARAM heroes; Orb build deals insane damage at max range and Archon Mode at 20 is…absolutely insane on a 1 lane map. Plus she has blink if things get scary.
Azmo might be technically better atm but he’s less versatile and more telegraphed. Ming has options.
Yeah I admit I did some pretty cowardly things with Archon in some matches. I wouldn’t be too upset if it got disabled (only in aram).
It has some matchups where it can’t be countered and you can just laser people and buildings with impunity.
But if they got any divers at all it quickly becomes a useless lv20. Then you have to go Tal Rasha or wave upgrade.
i’ve got bored of asking for ming to be removed from aram, because there are actually people on here who defend a character who can hurl giant nukes across the screen with no cooldown (if it hits a hero, and its aram, it always hits a hero because of the nature of single lane.)
But she does not need them on ARAM. In fact, ARAM is the only gamemode I use her full orb build, because there is very little need for other ones. I see Calamity Ming from time to time, and they usually play on the defeated side.
Azmodan also has options to be more AA or more beam, but still 99% of ARAM players picks full-dunk build… Simply because it hits like a truck there.
Lunara is yet to be discovered dark horse [dark deer??] of ARAM, because of her Thornwood variants of Q and Poison builds, with mandatory R upgrade on 20. They work phenomenally on ARAM, and I easily score 150-200k dmg, 15-20 kills and rival Chromies and Vallas in my team. Those builds are extremely situational in standard games, because Leap is her ultimate anti-dive/anti-CC tool. In ARAM I don’t need that, nor waveclear…
I’ve lost a single ARAM match as Lunara in my life, because I had 3 potato-level players in my team. Maybe it’s good that people are so sticky to their QM playstyle…
Anyway, there is no point of any changes of characters for ARAM nor balancing things for ARAM. The thing that Blizz should implement for ARAM matchmaking is a hero tier system, because if one team has Valla, Azmodan, Chromie, Ming etc., they will absolutely stomp the other team with no option to pick any of those S-tier ARAM heroes. It’s just free win. So it’s like healers - if one team has access to at least single S-tier hero, other team should have the same.
Ofc. there will be players ruining the draft, just like there are players who never pick the only available healer to get stomped by the other team with actual healer… But it’s a problem of players, not matchmaker.
Well I for one am willing to grant him-her the benefit of doubt. Some players here are honorable sports and honest ones, unlike the vast majority of toxic kids and liars in this game. Let’s not insult them by confusing them with the rest. What is rare must be kept and treasured.

also its not the orbs that are OP in aram it is the two talents that reduce the cooldown on orb when they hit a hero.
since its a single lane constant teamfight it is VERY easy to hit with orb,
just spam them at the teamfight and you are likely to hit a hero.
and when that happens orb CD gets reset, THAT is the OP part.
spammable free CD resets on a high damage large area ability.
shall we give azmo free globe resets when it hits a hero too?
Well if the enemy team is dumb enough to pile up like a bunch of morons… Flamestrike and Blizzard will wreck them too so where’s the argument really? That mages are too strong?
The thing is, neither of those are blocked by minion waves, which are always present in ARAM. So how is she always hitting heroes if you’re behind minions?
do flame strike and blizzard get instant cooldown reset if they hit someone? no. (nor do they hit for 1000+
sometimes hitting the minions with orb is what gets a proc because the explosion is a bit wider than the projectile, heroes near the minion get hit.
and again, its a permanent single lane teamfight, the orb takes up a sizeable width of the lane,
and even if you want to dodge it, you’ve got stuns, slows, roots and things to deal with too, if you have an arthas on you for example, dodging those orbs is impossible, the ming isn’t the only enemy you’re fighting.

Yea orb build as it is now without that talent is balanced. But with the talent it just becomes an endless poke fest if the Li-Ming has anything above hawk eye hit rating.
Who needs cooldown reset when you kill the enemy team in a single burst?
And yeah, they do hit for more than Orbs.
Then the heroes weren’t in the right spot.
It’s really NOT that big.
They’re very easy to dodge.
And like I said, if your allies are setting up for you, other mages will burst people down just as fast.
The orb resets are only really a big deal against a tank who repeatedly lets themself get slammed and whittled down. But in that situation, Q build will do it faster.
Orb build Ming struggles against heroes getting in her face, as she can’t really do anything. That’s one thing I love about Q build Ming, they get in your face you pretty much can’t miss, and then they die.
It already has the low cooldown, it doesn’t have the weakness against enemies getting close. Bit shorter range, but at max range Orbs are easy to dodge anyway. Better structure and merc damage.
If you really must complain about Ming, complain about Q build.
Orb build is over rated! Magic Missiles is where it’s at! If I’m on someone who can take damage and see the enemy ming has gone orb I just keep on top of her. I’m not even really trying to kill her (but she don’t know that) but she can’t reset and keep poking my allies down. It becomes a 4 v 4 if the enemy team don’t address me lol.
The problem with orb ming is it’s not common knowledge on how to counter it, you don’t even need a dive hero just someone who can eat damage to walk up on her.
lol! Well you got me there. You can’t deny though that you really have it in for the poor innocent Witch, I mean Wizard. I honestly don’t think Li-Ming is that bad in ARAM, other than perhaps her Triumvirate talent which needs to give less mana return or CDR, one or the other.
