Is there any stats with Butcher on how many games won when he’s under 200 meat and over 200?
not that i know about. but i would say there’s many times where i won games with a butcher in my team who wasn’t “under 200” since he was at 0… does that make any sense? however won many games and lost as well with butcher who never managed to complete the quest.
last game was yesterday butcher managed to finish with 580 stacks game lasted for quite a while both teams were like saying NO to giving up was fun game nevertheless but yeah max stack i ever seen was 580 in my game and worst was 0 so there ya go! but about “total of games on losses and wins with under / over 200” i have no clue if there’s such a thing
A majority of the wins i see with the Butcher is when he has at least 200 meat
But i have sens butchers win without 200 meat and i have myself done the same.
The only real reason why a butcher wouldn’t get his meat and win is if his team carried him.
Example: he keeps dying but the team makes up for his mistakes by getting kills and obj. the team wins even though the butcher didn’t get his quest
580 stacks?
he could kill squishy like li ming n valla in 2 basic attacks then, did u notice how much his basic attack damage was at tht time?
Butcher’s performance is really tied to completing his quest: if he cannot reach 200 meat is because the player is not very performing or the match is so hard that he cannot properly farm.
But it’s an explicit design choice, not a balance issue.
i didn’t pay attention to the amount of damage he can deal as i was focusing on my own game but for a squishy you die faster than a murky in fact i’m gonna check the replay again and see how much damage he can actually deal at that amount of meat stacks just for your question! not right now tho because i’m barely awake xD
haha yeah, and a butcher with lamb slaughter = 100% kill for me , even if not 200 stacked up.
A butcher with other ulti, i tend to jump out in time though
even slaughter can be escaped if you save your teleport and time it perfectly with his ult.
Yes, But escaping a slaughter will still get me killed. theres is a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry slim chance,
Scenario 1 =
He comes, he slaughters, im silenced, im dead (which is obivious)
Scenario 2 =
He comes, he drops slaughter, i teleport out (only if i have entended range) n im NOT silenced, but as i teleport out BEFORE he stuns me with the charge, im stunned, 2 hits, n im dead
Scenario 3 = Perfectionist Ming Play using 100% of my brain n body
he comes, he slaughters n i teleport (missing his silence), he stuns, he AA onces, (my health drops 20%+ with his one AA = my teleport refreshes) and I teleport BEFORE his second AA
Thts the only way i survive
verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry slim chance,
If i play butcher, ,i wont let tht happen, coz I take tht talent where ur Q increases ur attack damage,
mmmmm but a stun n one AA with a hamstring shudnt kill ming,
Guess you are right afterall
But need to try tht
thanks
NO, wait, theres no way im safe,
Only an idiot butcher will drop ulti before he stuns.
I never do tht, ,i will drop ulti AFTER impact, = 100% death, coz ulti dropped when im stunned, , stunned then silenced, then killed.
sadly, the only thing saving me is if no silence, coz then i can wave of force him away n jump back, AFTER the stun ends
would work nicely and no you’re not completely right about only an idiot butcher who would throw silence before stun. they do that tricky actually you wouldn’t expect it coming or he wait for you to use teleport and saves his silence that’s how they do it and once your teleport is out then you can’t dodge the silence and you’re dead that way
the basic teleport would be an issue, but the extended range on teleport will get me safely away from him for him to use his silence, unless he does it right after he stuns me,
if he waits for me to teleport after stunning me, n waits for me to teleport, i will b way out of his range, coz right after i teleport, i hit a R on his feet to knock him back further,
Unless he uses his R on me RIGHT AFTER impact n stun, i can save myself i believe
But all butchers i see drop R right after stun.
The other ulti, also massive damage, but is ok after i get diamond skin,
I generally teleport back when i see him coming to get extra shield. he stuns, he blows, i teleport again,
but tht silencing, mmmm i guess it depends more on how bad the butcher is, rather than how good a ming i m
remember butcher’s stun isn’t even that long you can still use teleport right after the stun since his slaughter doesn’t insta affect you. i believe you have time to teleport away right after the stun
oh will try tht, but the issue is,
butcher stun is 1 second, n the silence ulti activates after a second
so the time for me to teleport = the time butcher takes to click R n drop it ,
which is like .25 seconds, or .5 seconds, and my internet n my laptop dont giv me tht liberty, lol,
but still, its worth a try, n something to think abt
And thats exactly the problem for li-ming here. His stun and LTTS delay are both 1 second. If butcher times it perfectly, you would get 1 frame to cast your teleport. (and at that point it comes down to how blizzard coded casting abilities together with the LTTS silence at the same time)
But i do have to note, the AI has often succeeded at dashout out of it, so i would say that butcher still has a 1 frame gap between his impact and the LTTS cast. Maybe its just a 50/50 chance on wether someone pressed the button first.
But still, its not a reliable getaway for liming.
exactly, thts why,
whether i teleport earlier (before impact)
or keep teleport on cd to use after impact
both scenario, im dead after stun, coz then im sileced, and my AA will only tickle butcher lol
Long time i have seen a Furnace Blast ult on a Butcher realy. But 99% of all Butchers i play with or vs take chain ult. And my last game enemy Butcher had 270 meat and still lost even with Anub and Blaze on his team vs solo twin blade Varian with Aba hat on my team.
My max was 480 and i always wanted to at least break the 500 but you went well beyon that will 580 !
That had to be an awesome feeling lol
I’d say that really highly depends on butcher’s team comp. If it’s built entirely around butcher doing the brunt of the damage (e.g., 2x tank + 2x support), then butcher without 200 meat is hardly ever going to win.
While if butcher is just a filler for extra stun/disable (lamb), his damage may hardly matter, in which case it won’t really matter if he finishes the quest or not.
(e.g., mura+uther+jaina+GM+butcher, butcher being the solo lane (playing lvl1 cheap shot + lvl7 minion heal)). (Not to mention that in such comp butcher would usually get 1-2 aa’s max before target is dead anyway).
someone made a thread a lil while back where they recorded some statistics for themself
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/heroes/t/butchers-200-meat-quest-impact-on-winning-the-game/17817
they reported…
Total: 50 games
Quest completed: 38 games
Wins with quest completed: 29 (or 76% of the 38)
Quest not completed: 12 games
Wins without quest completed: 0
Overall wins: 29 of 50 (or 58%)
of course, it’s a small sample size on top of being only one player’s experience, but it’s still interesting
Hey guys,
So I recorded it manually myself like with the post above.
Over the last 3 days, played 40 games with butcher
Total Games: 40
Games with over 200 meat: 29
Games under 200 meat: 11
Games won with over 200 meat: 25
Games lost with over 200 meat: 4
Games won with under 200 meat: 1
Games lost with under 200 meat: 10
Conclusion
Games won with over 200 meat: 62%
Games won with under 200 meat: 2.5%
I mean, it’s obvious the chances of winning when 200+ meat significantly rise but it’s just interesting stats.
Not saying butch is OP or UP, but getting to 200 when butch engages under 200 meat is plays the role of high risk, high reward.
