Hey, me and my friend both deranked from masters to diamond 5, we always play together and have kinda the same level, however now that we replay ranked (we stopped for like a month), my friend wins 500 points every win and i win only 200. Anyone has a idea why?
His MMR is higher than yours. Game feels that his mmr is too high for his current placement so it gives him a lot more extra points to push him to the rank he’s supposed to be.
Your friend Undead78150 got a higher rank with Insupportank by playing a bit more with him than you did. What’s important is that it doesn’t matters much as you’ll still be able to play with him as long as you keep playing together.

I would also add that decayed Master accs always gain 500-600 rank points per win and loss for their first 10 games after returning to HotS and restarting at Diamond 5.
Which is a very welcome mechanism imo, that allows previous Masters to climb back really fast if they prove they haven’t lost their touch (but bars them from rejoining Master or GM matches until they win a few games in succession).
OP has likely played some matches without his friend and is now at normal point gain, as point gain is personal.

So you’re telling me that his MMR is higher because he played more games with another friend ? (that makes sense).
What’s important is that it doesn’t matters much as you’ll still be able to play with him as long as you keep playing together.

That’s the thing though, i decayed from master 2 or 3 times but everytime I would only win 200 points each game.
One last question, do in-game stats influence the MMR ? We play a lot of Chogall together (almost everygame we can ^^) so he easily gets massive stats with Gall, and that could also explain the mmr diff.
