Does hots have these voice lines, and if so, how can I use them?
HotS doesnât have them. You can use chat.
There is a set of voice lines you can buy from the shop or get from loot chests but thatâs all there is.
You can assign voice lines to your hero in the Loadout tab, then the press âiâ key in a match to use that voice line.
It will be heard by allies and enemies in your vision radius (louder if theyâre near you, faintly if theyâre further away) and has a 7 second cooldown (timer shown if you try to use it too quickly again).
I was just wondering since I was going through some ragnaros voice lines and discovered that he has 2 versions of both Hi and Sorry. Was wondering if the were used, but it just probably means that they were thinking about introducing some new social emotes coming with raggy and varian, but scrapped it for some reason. This is all just my theory though.
oh youâre talking like they do have in Overwatch? that would be fun actually since in overwatch you can use the voiceline to say hi etc. and also use chat but in hots only chat and different voicelines also no more than 1 can be selected sadly unlike overwatch you can have more than 1 to use ingame
Yep, there are tons of scrapped voice lines in the file data. Even some Deathwing voice files dating as far back as 2015. And some of unreleased/scrapped heroes, like Overmind.
Most of them are unused or havenât been introduced to the game.
A nice person uploaded all of them to Github ages ago, but itâs inaccessible now. Maybe itâs available in archiving services.
As you can see in the comments, people noticed the DW voices already 4 years ago.
Others like Dehaka and Stukov were eventually released.
Those exists in the game, but they are disabled.
You can get interaction from the start of the game with certain heroes on youir team, but other than that you cant automatic have you hero just say âhelloâ or âsorryâ
it would be awesome to have them enabled in hots. genji playerâs would spam âi need healingâ
