Someone said something to you you didn't like

My typical response and actions are "Muted."followed by muting ping and text from said player.

Other times I chose fbombs and other colorful language.:joy:

A good response to anyone being irritating in game or people blaming you for
 idk the usual is:

woe is you

When people spam emojies I just call them Emojie Lords.

My typical response to flamers is just “is there a probelem”
If I’m not Probius, then it’s the old reliable “you are just mad because you are angry”.

:joy: that’s pretty good.

I turned off ingame chat through options, so if anyone says anything I don’t like, I don’t even know it anymore :P.

Language comprehension and formulation requires immense brain computing resources, so having no chat ingame actually makes me play better (communication generally does not add enough to gameplay to justify the resources required for it). Well, in theory at least.

P.S. I always knew using voice chat makes me play worse, but before I never thought that the same could be true for text chat too, but it definitely is.

P.P.S. The content of language completely does not matter. The simple act of coding and decoding it diverts resources from more useful things the brain could be doing.

Most people who don’t want to play with the team have chat off.
Can’t count the number of Azmodans or Raynor I’ve seen run it down lane without saying a single word all game or responding to pings.

If someone is clearly frustrated you shouldn’t be taking their words to heart. It’s easy to disregard those who use basic insults, especially when it’s coming from the guy who keeps diving into the middle of the enemy team and dying 50 seconds before the objective.
However this is still a team game, and given the nature of HotS you’ll gain a lot more from working with your teammates than just doing what you think is your job (unless you’re exceptionally skilled or the other team is just really bad).
When someone proves they’re not open to real discussion then it’s acceptable, preferable even, to mute them.

Being open to new perspectives is how you grow as a player, no matter how the perspectives are presented to you.
When you deny your team the chance to communicate with you then you’re admitting you just want to play for your own sake and do whatever you want. Which is what QM is for, I guess.

I am a simple person, I like to watch Putin, and therefore: “- as a person calls names, so he himself is called.” - “I’m rubber, you’re glue. Your words bounce off me and stick to you.” :face_with_monocle:

Azmodan and Naz players are one of the worst when it comes to not getting ganked. They never check mini map and always end up dieing in some random corner of the map casue they play with eyes closed.

Also what is up with Naz players popping Iceblock just to die anyway in a gank. Do they really think Iceblock can save them from a 4 man gank ? It looks so dumb when they do it.

Ah i’m getting ganked ! Might aswell pop Iceblock while i’m surrounded just to show how dumb I am. Pop Iceblock. Watch as enemy stands in a circle around him waiting for it to expire then kill him and get b-stepped.

I mean, why not? It’s going to be back up on respawn anyway. Make the enemies waste a couple more seconds at least - every second they’re not doing anything more useful counts (well the players you have in mind probably don’t think about any of this, but it still holds true).
When they pop a 2 min cooldown ultimate (well that would not be nazeebo or azmo) that achieves absolutely nothing though - well, that can be a really costly waste for sure.

Significantly prolonging own respawn timer is not always the best choice (a clean team wipe is usually better than a staggered wipe, unless enemies get to end the game before respawn is up), but a couple seconds from ice block is not going to play a big factor in that regard anyway.

No report? I mean everyone does it now
why not give that last sucker punch?

I just put the dancing ghost. The more they spew stupid stuff
the more I spam the ghost. Best way to silence anyone. They can’t talk when the whole chat is filled with cute little ghosts.

I usually don’t report for language or verbal abuse, they put mechanics in the game to mute chat or individuals who like to verbally stroke their ego, and trash talk.

I don’t even see the point of the report for language function at all. I guess some people don’t know how to use those functions, or find it such an arduous task to use them.

Some people would throw around the word snowflake, I’d just call em a wonderful portion of the female body, in my own words, a cat. :joy:

Shut up :smile_cat:!

I wasn’t serious, however it is a common thing to get reported because someone didn’t like what you said.

I don’t either but some do, but they probably have so low of self esteem it probably physically hurts them, so they feel like doing it makes the boo boo go away. Not my ghost boo tho lol

I think most people would agree, but probably not in this game because
 well you know lol

If no report system existed then no punishment will ever hit those that do it.
Muting toxic players is only temporary punishment that does not overall other then throwing the problem away to the next 4 players that end up getting him on thier team.
Then you can start all over.

If a get stopped by the police for driving too fast and only got a warning everytime you were stopped then you would keep on speeding and care less what police tells you.

But with a report system you now get a fine and if its severe losing your driveing licence and go to jail.

This is true, but the punishment for anything related to chat should not be a permaban especially when the function to mute players is at the player’s disposal. It’s not anyones fault but theirs if they don’t use it.

My typical response is usually that I dont have one.

No reason to add fuel to a dumpster fire.

I agree on that since the game is free to play then it wont matter if you get banned casue you can just make a smurf and do it all over again. Something that would be much better would be making silence durations last forever like before if silenced too many times.

And then keep bans and suspence on people who afk and feed insteed.

That tactic is good aswell. Toxic players many times just want an reaction out of you and if they cant get one they failed. I were once called a loser by a kid that was blocking my way with his friend on my way home but I just biked away and ignored him and nothing happend. He properly feel dumb now for wasting his time trying to tilt someone twice his size.

Yeah! And at the end of the day no matter what punishment
a Smurf account makes any punishment useless anyway. But at least people will get to keep their account and not become toxic on their Smurf

Like me :relieved:

Feelings vs actual threat to human life. I guess I see the harm from the big bad meanie pee pee head.

This is me. Not sure why I do it when I’m surrounded and gonna die after the ice block is over.

If I’m 175+ Vile and low hp sometimes I throw spider frog ice block as melee circles around and dies
