Hello everyone! I have been getting into HotS lore lately as you can probably tell by my post history, so a fun idea I have is speculating some lore headcanons.
Specifically, headcanons around things like: What do our heroes do in their spare time? What do they work as? How do they make a living?
I think this is an important thing to know on top of being a little fun thread. Like, we saw that Deckard was just wandering about the Nexus when he met Orphea in the comics, but what would the other heroes be doing there?
My personal opinion would be that the more virtuous heroes would align themselves with Kingâs Crest and the (new) Raven Court and serve as their knights. The morally flexible ones will work for profit or for the thrill. While the more villainous ones would either ally with more nefarious Realm lords like Queen Nightshade for selfish reasons or they seek other realms to conquer.
What do you guys think?

My headcanon is that the RavenLord did nothing wrong!

My headcanon is my entire backstory for Qhira which is about halfway done being written and entirely drafted.

Btw, we know what some Heroes do. And we also know that Heroes have many interpretations.
Like Malthael was in an allience with the Gravekeeper.
Kerrigan and Arthas are a vampire noble couple in Ravencourt.
One Alex is working for the RavenLord now, the other fought this one for Dragonshire.
As Uther once said in the original tutorial, âYou know, you really shouldnât think so hard about these things.â
There are a few snippets of the original lore ideas, and it is kind of fun to see how much the game interface and all changed from the preliminary concepts. It is a damn shame this sort of tutorial is no longer available.

will quite likely work for Mira Han the SC-Space-Mercenary and Realm Lord of WHJ.
And Tracer is chasing the frog in a bubble around all realms

Basically everything that Carbot Animations do with HOTS was in my head canon. He just knows how to portray what or how âthe community thinksâ about certain gameplay scenarios or specific heroes and how they do things and think. Itâs just a masterpiece work of art.
However, unfortunately he doesnât portray much of Li-Ming (or some other specific heroes that lacked screen time), and in general I already think of Li-Ming as basically the Azula of HOTS, with the sole exception that sheâs not exactly progressively losing her sanity and mental stability. Sheâs merely very⌠abrupt, sometimes harsh and often arrogant, but honest.
So I like to think that Li-Ming would probably go along pretty well with Alarak or Illidan, but would but heads all the time and sparks and knives would fly around constantly in the presence of Qhira and probably Kaelâthas too (âbig headsâ / big egos rarely do well together). But in general sheâd probably mind her own business and might simply prefer solitude and training her wizardry stuff alone.
And sheâd probably spend most of her time in Sky Temple and Dragon Shire. Iâd say Sky Temple because itâs the closest thing that would help her reminisce Caldeum (which sheâs missing, âsometimesâ), and Iâd say Dragon Shire because it has that sort of classic fantasy feel and tone to it where I would imagine groups of wizards could exist and build their fancy Mage Towers in (like Sarumanâs tower in LOTR, or Kinloch Hold / Circle Tower in Dragon Age Origins, for the Circle of Magi).
So there you go, itâs about the only bits of head canon I made for myself out of this game (other than what Carbot does, that is).

W-wouldnât they try to murder each other tho?
Lol I can already imagine the interaction. Li Ming would say something arrogant and braggy and Qhira would cut her off saying she talks too much or is all bark and no bite. I do think KT and Li Ming would go well together tho, they both like magic and Li Ming seems the type to respect power.
