Can you please make this a separate queue, I love aram but I hate when I have to play a hero i dont want to, without any option to do otherwise. Is it so hard to make it so those who want can play that? and those who wants aram can queue for aram? Please
And also, can you make sure theres always a possibility for someone to pick healer in aram?
We also need a surrender function on games that is not ranked. So that people dont have to get in leaver queue if they dont want to continue the game, then atleast they can vote for surrender.
In an ideal world, it would be nice to have a checkbox to opt out of mirror games. As Hots has almost no development, so unless something changes, the best you can hope for is they will flip the switch again and disable mirror matches in ARAM.
See above, and keep in mind, even when four separate players are all offered a healer, sometimes nobody will elect to pick a healer for their team. It could be set, so one player is presented with 3 healer options, but then people would complain about being “forced” to play a healer in a “random” mode.
The average game length of a QM/Vs AI and especially ARAM is shorter than ranked matches. No surrender option is needed, and the Devs have always held fast that they will never introduce a surrender option. Now there are no dedicated Devs for Hots at all, a surrender option is less likely than ever, unless MS decides to allocate resources to Hots.
ARAM is random so you just have to pick whatever you best at of the 3 you get. Mirror matches are within the rules of ARAM so if you dont like it then just leave like everyone els does or try and play it.
Then it would not be ARAM any longer if you want a 100% garanti tank or healer to pick. Its random for a reason.
Trolls would just spam that button until you do what they say. Surrender was never added cause devs said we dont need it. Games are not that long that you need it and adding a surrender would just make the game more toxic.
The forums have taught me that some people don’t understand what random means, or they deliberately choose to be obtuse.
ARAM has become the main mode for so many players, and many of these are taking it far too seriously, demanding changes like; “Ranked ARAM”, specific heroes removed, better draft options, forced healer/tank for both teams, etc.
Part of me always knew many players wanted Hots to be a one lane brawler (still doesn’t stop them laser focusing in on taking useless mercenary camps), and now they want ARAM to have the “random” removed, so it’s “balanced”, so basically “All Mid.”
So QM on a single lane and forced comps. Forced comps were done before. People didn’t like it cause queue times increased; and still complained the comp was trash because it wasn’t meta.
Voting for a majority for the team to surrender will only be abused. Players already AFK cause they used to see the comp before the match would start. Now, they are forced to enter the match and then leave or AFK. With a vote, they will threaten players to AFK if they don’t choose to surrender.
These sorts of things won’t be fixed because they are human problems. This is just another case of, “Would be nice…” feature/option.
One way of making others happy is attempting to communicate yourself, even by doing something simple as pinging towards where you are traveling across the map or staying in the same lane if you won’t be joining your team across the map on the other end. If you are a mediocre player no one will be able to tell your intentions because frankly you may not understand when to fight and when not to or even have an general idea of the current highest priority at any moment. I’ll often see a good pusher wasting half a minute horseback when they are uncontested and all their team has to do is keep distracting and stay alive.
If it is something stupid, others will try to make you reconsider, but if it is a smart move they will join you just in time and enable your plan or to assist with escape if needed. When you mess up, they won’t be as mad because being stupid and bad at the game are two different things.
And don’t type unless you’re dead, everyone will hate you for it.
It is impossible not to go crazy after playing this game. Recently I started playing Sylvanas again and it is ridiculous how often I see the enemy literally surrender their Forts. The core crowd is too few in numbers and the disparity between top and bottom players is simply too extreme to offer any kind of quality experience.
Other time it is my own team complaining after I informed them how I won’t be joining for the first top lane objective on Infernal shrines and instead took out bottom side of the map completely alone, which is more than they’ve been able to accomplish after triggering the Immortal (ridiculous how the enemy team even managed to lose a 3-minute 5v4).
And last my favorite, the special guys who don’t understand late game scaling. We have one Fort sticking out on Hanamura, close to the Samurai and possibly the cart destination so you can understand the benefit of having a healing well within reach. What happens next is these clowns collectively recalling (just under the watchtower for everyone to see) and bunching together to clear one small minion wave on the opposite end while I am holding ground near the most important building on the map. The enemy team suddenly appears from the fog, charges at the Fort and destroys it in five seconds. I am flanked by one of them, just outside of base while retreating and get accused of throwing at the key moment because why not, the 4 man party is always right. Literally wtf.
