Did you know that Chromie has the highest untalented AA range in the game at a whopping 7 units? No I’m not kidding, the only non-talented thing that beats it is Alexstraza in Dragonqueen.

Time Stop doesn’t PAUSE characters like stasis. Rather, it makes targets untargetable and lowers their speed, animations, etc down to 1/100th of their normal. This is why there’s often weirdness with things like Muradin Leap or Genji Swift Strike.

The developers didn’t actually want to make Chromie an artillery mage, and only did so because the demand for one was at an all-time high during her development cycle!

Chromie’s range got increased to 7 in 2018 when they tried to rework her into an AA-based hero. Y’all remember that? Thank god they undid that rework and tried again.
By the way, Hanzo used to have the highest AA range at 7.5. That was dumb and I’m glad they changed it.

I do, fondly. Perhaps it is only me but I vastly prefer AA centric characters to mages.
Can understand why everyone didn’t like it though. She’s still got some AA sauce with the Q build

On release, Malthael used to be the Aspect of Death.
They since reworked him to become the Aspect of Minions.

It involved her shapeshifting into a dragon, a gimmick that later went to Alex. However, the idea was scrapped because it just wasn’t working for Chromie’s kit. Also, they didn’t want to go full-boar yet and designed a weird bipedal dragon form that just didn’t look good. It was actually fully modelled and is still in the game – Chromie’s threaten emote has what would’ve been her dragon form pop up behind her, although with a sand texture since the actual texture wasn’t finished.

Ess of Johan was a Li Ming talent that was in live game for a grand total of two weeks. It was removed over eight years ago.
Yet despite this brief period of time, people still remember exactly what it did and to this day, are still experiencing reoccurring dreams of its existence.

A friend told me there is an undocumented advantage about Kerrigan’s ultralisk in the game, that beast possess a half time reduction from any form of stuns and slows (and maybe also roots, i’m not sure) and nothing mention that at all on the talent.
I think it’s better like that. In WoW, the character also prefer to stay under the gnome form.

In WarCraft III, the Power of the Horde song has the artist listed as ‘Tenth Level Tauren Chieftain’. This is the early name for E.T.C.
Kael’Thas’ Living Bomb long ago used to spread onto everything and could be doubled tapped (drop a second bomb on the target) to immediately detonate it. This resulted in minion waves and mercs getting instantly turned to dust and any heroes not named Muradin as well caught in a full on Living Bombed minion wave.
He could also do the same on enemy structures such as gates, thus tagging any heroes and minions in the follow explosion. Forts as well. Keeps even. Walls.
Yrel’s interaction with Fenix is a lore oops. When asked what tribe she belongs to, Yrel will respond only Broken have tribes before asking what a Protoss is.
The Broken are the result of what was essentially the Fel equivalent of weaponized gas being dumped onto Shattrath City (one of the major cities on Draenor) with draenei exposed losing their connection to the Light and slowly devolving into the Broken or Lost Ones which were barely sentient creatures.
The reason it is a lore goof is on Alternate Draenor the Legion did not get a chance to unleash such a weapon against the Draenei and thus no Broken were created. So she would not know anything about them.
Kel’Thuzad’s quotes upon completing his Phylactery talent are from when he is defeat in his World of Warcraft raid in Naxxramas.
Despite having allegedly been patched, Sylvanas’ Withering Fire will still occasionally get the zoomies if a hero is killed while one of them is midflight. Whereafter they’ll zip around like a spazzed out fly.
Hanzo’s kit is what he used to have Overwatch before being reworked after the removal of the Defense class. Also, Scattering Arrow used to extreme amounts of damage to mercenaries with Never Outmatched once proccing off minions and mercs. The result was Hanzo was one of, if not THE, best camp takers in the game.
Alexstrasza’s model used in the Dragons of the Nexus video released in 2017 was never seen before or after the cinematic was released.

Actually, it was reused for a Twitter teaser for the Hearthstone expansion Descent of Dragons in 2019. There’s not a chance I could actually find it now, but just trust me bro.

Kael used to have a bug where if you ran into an enemy tower and died without doing anything shortly after game start, his cooldowns were all set to 0 so he could spam infinite free living bombs.

If Stitches uses Gorge on Tracer and she recalls as soon as she gets out, she will move to where she was 2 seconds before being gorged , not where Stiches was 2 seconds ago.
What was she supposed to be though?

I just learned a thing today: D.Va’s Q cleanses slows and prevents slows from affecting her while it’s active, like Stitches’ trait. That’s a weird little quirk that isn’t shared with any other speed boosts.
KTZ used to be able to chain to enemy structures with his E. It was removed because of how oppressive it was trying to defend against him.

Pretty sure his abilities received a two second cooldown bonus upon hitting 15 Blight back then as well, which meant he was able to combo more frequently which was also changed to instead unlock Glacial Spike.
