So now that HotSlogs is gone

I’ve heard that another site is taking over where hotslogs left off. Does anyone know what its called?

Correction, not gone, just under reconstruction.

While technically correct, given it lost all of it’s replays… i would say resurrection or rebirth is more accurate a term.

As I would say it died… it just is bad at staying dead!

Unfortunately, this site is not reliable. It has horribly wrong stats. Hotslogs wasn’t perfect but at least it wasn’t off by over a thousand when it comes to number of games I’ve played with Sylvanas.

Their reliability relies on people uploading to them, so it doesn’t surprise me that a “hotslogs clone” if you could call it that, would have much fewer replays, since fewer people upload to that site.

Heroes Profile is younger than HotSLog so it has less datas to work around but considering that also HotSLog has been wiped out, it seems like there is no more an “historical” db and we have to build it from scratch again.
Since we don’t have any deadline for HotSLog to come back, probably sticking with Heroes Profile is a good choice at this point.

Did you upload the games to HeroesProfile?

If you don’t have them anymore, hotslogs will not be getting them back. HeroesProfile is the only game in town currently, and the best.

I guess heroesAPI or whatever HeroesProfile uses for it’s replays. But same pool of replays there.

I sadly, cannot add the thousands of replays that are on computers i’ve Sold.

Oh well.

That loss of all hotslogs replays is devastating because it had the most games uploaded of any site anywhere over a period of 5 years.

~60% of my games were there although I never used the uploader. On heroesprofile ~5% of my games are there.

I hope they can restore the data somehow despite GDPR requirements .

Funny how I haven’t even used Heroes Profile site, yet almost half my games are there. Looks like a nicely built site

yes, and the owner has always been very responsive. i have submitted a few bugs i have found in the past and it gets fixed quickly.

my sole complaint would be that i liked HotSLogs filtering better in the way that it had more options for filtering. where HeroesProfile is more limited in that capacity.

they cannot, unless the old website owner buys/takes it back…

And that was bad. Hotslogs went to garbage under that leadership.

Heroes Profile actually has a ton more data on it than HotsLogs did.
HotsLogs was averaging about 30k games uploaded a week. Heroes Profile had ~80k uploaded this past week.

I would like a teampicker feature like HotsLogs had:
https://www.heroescounters.com/teampicker

There is no way that is true. The number of games per week played was way closer to quarter of what hotslogs was showing. That means number of games uploaded was less too in same ratio. If you filter by master hotsapi has barely any games uploaded in comparison. Almost every game from my list would say success in upload, that means nobody else had uploaded those games. Even at worst times hotslogs would say success in ~30% of games, when game was in its’ prime less than 10%(granted masters are more likely to upload and use external sites, hard to say how popular it was in low ranks). With hotsapi it’s literally 10% that is duplicates if we are lucky with 90% being new upload.

This is what hotsapi looks to me everytime I upload:
imgur. com/eqk3cp7

imgur. com/Hwc24Bw

Currently in total I’m at 3200 succesfully uploaded, 1350 duplicates so even by these numbers it has 30% duplicates. Now to open that further it’s actually closer to 300 duplicates in reality. Originally hotsapi did not delete uploads. When I updated to 2.0(read I had to unistalled and installed the new version because the program got stuck updating due to bug) somewhere along those version lines it started to delete old replays which caused the old already uploaded to become duplicates in this statistic. Hotsapi has horrendously low upload numbers. That is why I don’t think it will ever be as good as hotslogs even after it has to restart the database. The number of uploaders and as such uploads is so much higher in hotslogs that it will give way better statistical info. That is as long as the new hotslogs can use old uploader that is(if it can’t then we simply don’t have good statistics available to us).

Just to give an idea how inaccurate heroes profile is: In may patch hots devs gave win-rates for some heroes and talents. With Garrosh his win-rate on heroesprofile was 8% higher than the actual number devs gave and this is something you can even still check(48% win-rate according to devs vs 56% in heroesprofile). Every single number hotslogs had was within 0,5% margin of the numbers devs gave as their internal numbers. As long as you use plat+D+M and level 10 and higher it’s within that 0,5% margin. The few times they’ve given numbers on reddit, again they have always been within hotslogs 0,5% margin. That’s how accurate it has been statistically. Now I don’t care personally which service is the king. I disliked heroesprofile for how clumsy it is but I’ve hated hotslogs for the ads for longest time. Only reason I’ve always been pro hotslogs(over heroesprofile) is the fact that it has had much better statistics due to having way more games uploaded.

Considering how HOTS is always changing hero stats and abilities, would data from any of these sites truly have that much weight to them?
End game values like wins/losses on with maps and with which heroes has its relevance, but what are 1000 wins with Muradin in 2015 compared to 100 wins with him in 2019?

He’s changed along with every other hero in values and talents.

I dunno. I’ve surrendered on the stats or HOTS for the time.
