So LoL is almost literally unplayable right now. Not exaggerating

This is rather off topic for HotS, but I’m just posting this so we can all cringe at/laugh at/cry for LoL players.

Apparently, there was a bug abusing Flash and Hexflash that allows players to bug into walls on weird elevation differences. This allows champs with a certain type of abilities to hit everyone and everything on the map with that ability. That includes Champions, minions, and jungle monsters.

As if being able to reach max level and full build within 10 minutes with the use of only 2 different buttons and without leaving your spawn area weren’t bad enough, these games end with the victim team having no kills or assists, almost no damage, and in excess of 100 deaths.
You know what that means?
Automatic bans for feeding.

Pontentially, there’s even the chance for teammates getting banned for non-participation, if they don’t just hardshove and end the game as fast as possible.

And in LoL, getting banned apparently isn’t just a one-off, 1-2 week take-a-break punishment. No, League has an “Honor” system, in which you need to have a certain level of Honor to earn rewards for reaching Ranks during the Season. When you get banned in LoL, you lose all Honor, meaning you get no rewards for the Season and you will have to grind to get it back up to the point where you do get those rewards.

THE EXISTENCE OF THIS BUG AND ITS CONSEQUENCES ON OTHER PLAYERS IN THE GAME HAS BEEN COMMON KNOWLEDGE FOR AT LEAST A WEEK.
Ya’ll remember that Falstad trait bug way back when that completely broke him, and the devs just removed him from the game until they fixed it?
Yeah, they can’t really even do that here, since that would need to be done for about a dozen or two champs.
They could disable Hexflash and Flash, but Flash itself is such a crucial ability for so many champs in LoL they’d effectively be removing those champs as well.
This is a right mess they’ve got over there.

Things like this make me very glad I play HotS instead of LoL.

Edit: You know what makes this even worse? Reportedly, any mention of this bug on the LoL Reddit will earn you a ban (on Reddit, not in-game). You’re not even allowed to talk about this clusterfuffle on their official connection to the community.
That would be fine if they were trying to contain info on how to perform the trick, but basically everyone knows about it by now, so all this does it punish people who ask to have their unjust punishment revoked.

Now we should all head to their damn forums and flood them with “ded game lolz” posts!

First: WOW. This is incredible, and not in a good way. Especially with the banning people who die to this…

Second, I certainly hope no one is laughing at/cringing at the players of LoL.
edit: I did not understand that Maximus meant cringe at/laugh at the idiots who abused this bug initially. I fully stand behind laughing/cringing at those players.

I do “cry”/feel bad for all of them that have needed to deal with this complete and utter garbage situation.

I just check. It would never happen because I think they close down the forum some time ago.

Also, l don’t see that they fix the bug in the most current patch note. However, they could forget to mention it just like Bliz.

What the hell? How can something like that last more than a day?
Must have a skeleton crew or an intern in gender studies doing the coding.

There are plenty of bugs (and sometimes exploits) fixed in patches that are not mentioned in bug fix patch notes for HotS. Which could support this.

As what League players all say: 200 years of experience

Not possible since they closed down their own boards and is now only using Reddit as their official forums because something about players not using the boards much. Be glad we don’t get that treatment.

Also they have really buggy client, you’re super lucky if it doesn’t happen to you at all. I have experienced a few of these myself.

League players jokingly blame Mordekaiser for all this, since he was known to be a very buggy champion. Even a Morde main made a list containing 300 pages of known Morde bugs old and new.

I’m definitely cringing, both at and for them; at the ones who are doing this, and for the ones who are affected by it.

If you watch that video, the Yuumi (that little cat floating around the Poppy who was abusing the trick) was actually threatening the other team with reports if they forfeited to escape the game, increasing the likelihood that they’d get banned.
That was über-cringe, and I hope that little :poop:-stain gets a lifetime IP and hardware ban.

Listening to it now…
At approx 13:45 he states it has been this way for weeks plural. 0.0

And yes, agree on cringe for the idiots doing this! I didn’t think about that.

OMW :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The bug was first found at least 1-2 months ago, and Riot said they fixed it.
Then it came back about 3 weeks ago.
It’s only been common knowledge in the US for the past week or so, but at this point basically everyone who plays LoL knows about it.

Actually no. Kinda curious. Care to fill me in?

I completely lost it at “Parties of 25 are not eligible. There are too many players for this mode.”

Excuse me, what the f—? Parties of 25? That isn’t even possible, right?!

And yo, is that Sad Void Walker guy on both teams?! As different Champs?!

LoL looks like it’s got so many bugs they could probably feed the entire spider, bat, and frog population of Earth 3 times over for the rest of eternity.

Wow. That’s just… probably the most buggiest bug to exist.

I think it was back in mid-2017, Falstad’s trait was permanently active – taking damage did not disable it.
That means he always had the +15% movement speed from it (increased to +25% if you picked Aerie Gusts at level 16), and if you picked Flow Rider at level 13 all of your ability cooldowns were permanently reduced by 50%.

Apparently they were having trouble figuring out what caused it, so they just completely disabled players’ ability to pick him for a week or two until they figured it out.

I think it’s probably one of only 2 times they’ve ever done that, if not the only time. I seem to remember hearing rumors about them doing it with another hero before Falstad, but I don’t remember who or what for.

Watching the video and having seen what it’s about, the most typical yet most weird part is how many people immediately jump at this sort of bug and exploit it to high heavens. The people who have fun from that must be sadists or something, right? Because what other part could make it fun? I can’t imagine that it’s because they reaaaaally want to rank up, because a banhammer is obviously coming for them, not to mention a horde of other problems…

It’s just sad how some people are…

Definitely sadistic little :poop:s. The Yuumi was literally threatening to report them for feeding if they forfeited. They were intentionally wasting the other team’s time and trying to get them banned.

There are just some people in the world who can only feel good about themselves if they see everyone else suffering, even if they don’t gain anything from it.

Yep, LoL has literally one of the best anti-cheat software in the entire gaming industry (it’s literally kernel-level spyware you have to install on your machine to even play the game). You can get banned for scripting without anyone ever submitting a report. There is absolutely no way these people wouldn’t get banned, so personal gain is impossible.

They’re literally just doing it to ruin games for other people.

Worst part is that Flash didn’t even need this to be broken. Around 99% pick rate from day one, but they kept it in, god knows why. And now it’s breaking their entire game -even more-.

Actually, I think that was the new Valorant game, not LoL.
