I havent played draft mode in quite some time, and after returning I noticed that there is no longer a draft order; Any player from a team can lock in their pick when it’s time.
My question is: What happens when no one locks in their hero (but players still have heroes selected) when time’s up? Is it chosen randomly? In a set order?
I don’t know for sure but in my experience I think it follows Draft Order of the people who’s selected
It will lock what people are hovering. If no one has anything hovered it locks a random owned hero by the one or two highest people based on what their team still needs
If no one locks but they had selected their heroes, the game will lock the heroes randomly.
Pretty sure that’s not true. First part is, the game just locks a random hero.
I’d have to look it up later, but in one of the AMA’s they mentioned that it takes some factors into account for “hero role”.
Also, I’ve only had this happen twice lately and both times it made the person a healer when we were lacking one.
I said that because once we needed a main tank and the game gave us Tracer lmao. Maybe it doesn’t work all the time 
Ive noticed the most recent the change is the order… one draft i remember right before a counter went down i switched my hero and I got the pick over the guy that was showing
