Sigma from Overwatch: Nay or Yay?

When making my Ashe topic, I also said I would make one for Sigma too. I also might do it for other heroes no one talks about.

That said, no one seems to talk about Sigma. However I would still like to know if you would like him as a hero or not. Not as the next hero but a hero at some point.

Personally I feel he could be an interesting tank hero. Ofcourse I got other OW heroes I would rather have then him.

If your not sure who Sigma is:

Let me know what you think.

Yay.

20 Yays are not enough.

It’s “yea,” not “yay.” You’re agreeing, not celebrating.

I think he’d be really cool in HotS and I’d love to see him, but he’ll be running into the same problem Reinhardt and Orisa do, and that is a lack of a projectile interception mechanic for their shields. As a result, I suspect it will be a long time before any of them are ever added.

“ Yea or nay ” means “yes or no”. They are both old-fashioned words. “ Yea ” is related to the German word “ja” — it is the English version of the same word. … The native English equivalent is “no”, and it has ousted its Norse competitor “ nay ”.

It’s sometimes also written Yay. Not sure where that came from.
(But Sigma would be both a Yay and a Yea for me)

Just people misspelling it. It’s pronounced identically to the word “yay,” so a lot of people naturally assume the spelling is the same too.

Problem is, just because 2 words in English are pronounced the same does not mean they are spelled the same (i.e. “read” and “reed” or “read” and “red”), and vice versa (i.e. “lead” and “lead”).

my answer is pretty much the same as with Ashe:

Sure, I guess. But there’s plenty of heroes I’d rather see first, frankly.

I say yay, I like Sigma.

Yes please. I think Sigma’s ability loadout could be really awesome in HotS.

There’s a lot of iconic characters and underrepresented factions and classes from other franchises that have yet to be touched.
We’ve already got a lot of Overwatch in the game, and while I understand it’s massive popularity I personally just want to some more nostalgic characters show their faces.

If we did see anyone from Overwatch soon I’d hope it’d be Reinhardt before anyone else.

I see Dutch, I upvote.
He is very new, but I like his whole vibe and looks so much!
Unlike that stupid hamster, he feels like he is a part of the Overwatch game too.

And who doesn’t like weird gravity abilities?

Likely cause he is one of the newer heroes and people would rather have some older more recognizable ones.

I would love both Ashe and Sigma tbh. I still want Moira though

Wut. We haven’t had an overwatch character in 2 years. What do you mean by massive representation? Do you mean Warcraft because that’s what we need a break on.

There are more interesting Heroes from OW that could be added before Sigma. Per se it doesn’t seem to have any very intereseting new tool (his ulti is very similar to Zarya’s Graviton Bomb) and for the barrier it would be nicer to have Reinhardt with such mechanic.

Nay Nay Nay Nay Nay Nay alot of Nays

I’d like to see Zenyatta. Healing orb, damage bonus orb, charge-up attack, transcendence ult.
