Can we either expand the number of blocks allowed or actually start enforcing a good community policy? It doesn’t really sit well with me that I can’t block someone who is spamming hateful bs because I’ve already blocked too many people for the same reason. And they’re in almost every other game. Thanks.

Uh huh. Not gonna feel bad for blocking people who use the F- and N- slurs. Or anyone who wants to spam team chat with T*UMP2024MAGA nonsense. Or anyone who tries to message me after a match saying something unpleasant.

Yes. Grow up and learn to ignore these on your own insted of complaining that your ignore list is not endless to have blizzard do it for you.
From my PoV blocking anyone who uses, as you call it - “F-slur” or -word, not even being directed at you, is pretty pathetic and lame.
Note that you didn’t even tried to unblock people you probably never going to meet again to make room for further blocks and instead you went directly into forum to complain about stuff you can do yourself.

The game has the tools to prevent toxic players from whispering you or talking to you so why not use it ? If you keep chat open and allow toxic players to whisper you then its becasue you want them to. Use the tools insteed of complaining. Other people will say the same notherless.
You cant have chat open and hope its only normal people who will talk to you. Toxic players will aswell.
Turn off chat. Problem solved. Geez what is it with people having the solution right in front of their face but they decide to not use features given to them for a reason and they’d rather sit and whine about it like little babies. Grow up.

Delete the oldest entries in your block list. Chances are you will never meet those people again, if you do you will have forgotten exactly why you blocked them and even then there is a chance they grew up and no longer need to be blocked anyway.
What is really needed is for this deletion to happen automatically. Especially if you have not encountered the person within the last year.

wow, finally a bit of useful feedback… Thank you haha. I didn’t know this was an option and i went into my settings to remove older entries. unfortunately the “blocked users list” is literally a list of items like “T:1236782341767” and no date info, which, thanks i guess blizz.

The list may be ordered by date. Not sure as I have never really felt the need to block people.
Ye better just empy your block list. Most of them are properly not playing anymore or only rarely play.
