Just do what everyone else does - ban me from queueing for an hour or something, w/ escalating punishments. Leavers queue is such a tedium to go through - and the fact that you have to WIN those matches? When every comp is an absolute abomination? I actually get a headache playing leavers queue. I’d rather just go play something else. So I’m not going to play HotS again until my leavers queue matches are removed. That’s a promise. Take it as you will.
Edit: For the inevitable “shouldnt have left your match, goodbye” losers; I left a match where we were instantly pitted with a bot from the start and I didn’t feel like wasting the next 20 minutes of my life so I left. And now I have to WIN these horrendously devised “Quick Matches”. Wasting AT LEAST another hour of my life. This game can’t afford pushing away any more people than it already has.

It was no better when you only had to play the game. You would have whole teams leave the match on the spot and you were left with 4 bots.
I tried that myself. Got into leaver cause I had left a game and got a team with 3 players that left on draft and were bots whole game.
When punisment does not have any meaning then this is what you get so Blizzard changed it to win the game to force afk players to actually play the game.
ARAM is a good place to get out of leaver if you got leaver que.
Leaver que last forever so uninstalling and come back again in 6 months wont remove it.
Play the game and remove it by winning the game.
Thats your choice but it wont remove the leaver que you have before you play the game to its end and win them.
Leaver que are made just for those peope who insta quit games and waste 4 other players time by forcing them to play with a bot. The game itself is forgiven aswell. It gives you one free game you can leave without getting punished if you play enough games. Just that you are in leaver que would mean you have left alot of games on purpose and now flame the devs for giving you a real punishment.
Maybe think about all the players you left to lose thier games casue you left them outnumbered.
Other player’s time are as much important as your own. So until you start playing the game and win them you wil be stuck in leaver que on that account forever. It wont be removed just becasue you log off and come back again next year.

It pretty much amounts to the same thing. When people leave games and go to leaver queu, they are out of non-leaver’s hair for a while. It also means that someone who always quits will never bother regular players again.
Sucks to have a bot, but that was still a choice on your part though.
That’s pretty much what the system intends.

Leaver status is automated. It’s so easy to prove/disprove if soneone was afk/dc-ed or not. And it doesn’t prevent ppl from participating.
Banning them on the other hand is pretty harsh. And it’s harder to determine who deserves it.
So I prefer the current version.

I typically don’t get leaver status if i get disconnected. There are times I was playing a game and emergency happens like the security guard at my apartment calls me I need to move my car because they are repainting the garage.
I think leaver status comes if you repeatedly leave games. But I believe this is necessary or else, more games will have AFK/leavers when it’s already pretty rampant.
Strange thing is 3-4 weeks ago for a little while, there were no leavers in any of my games and out of no where I got them almost every other game.

I mean, it’s their product which they developed presumably for profit. Their always-present fanbois are ever at their beck-and-call to rush to their defense though - maybe to replace the parents that never gave THEM the love that they deserved. Sad.
The game isn’t actively developed anymore though. It’s only receiving the necessary hotfixes to keep it running at the bare minimum.
A lot of people for some reason still assume the company cares about this game, when they clearly made bulletin posts saying the game is now in an inactive maintenance mode.
If anything I’m an anti-fanboy of the “Blizzard” this company devolved into. Glad M$ is buying them off.

that is a ‘you’ problem. When people get over themselves, leaver game can be cleared in less time that it takes to waste getting into it.
For people who care so much about ‘wasting 20 minutes’ it’d odd the priorities they don’t put into how they spend that time, but then fault anything else for it having been lost.
Well, changing leaver queue status presumably does not take a whole lot of developer-manpower. I’m not asking for a new map, or UI, or hero here. A simple adjustment is all.
The leaver players rarely seem to take into account the time they “wasted” for the other four players on their team, only their wasted time matters apparently.

Waste 20 minutes in a lost game or 2 hours to win in leaver’s queue, your choice.
Iam all for leaver que but counting it down only when you win the match is indeed nonsence. Recently I fall into leaver que with no fault of my own. One game i didnt want to pick first, so i prepicked banned hero. All my teammates did the same on last second and I got the short straw. Later on, the game crashed on me during draft (program not responding). So i got my 1 game leaver que penalty… Went 1-6 qm games before I was able to clear it. 
You are qued with other leavers and often its pretty apparent why people are there (afk, running into towers, etc.). Some proudly claiming that they gonna loose on purpose so you cant clear your penalty.
Making it that you dont have to win those matches would be sensible fix.

If you don’t need to win (you can lose, just need to go a match without DC), you can easily afk and troll and still get out.
That’s why the win is mandatory.

I post a few a day during travel and similar downtimes and doing so for years.
Getting high post counts over years is nothing hard or an achievement and requires little time (thus not requires sarcrificing a life to “achieve”).
But that number is sure easy to be lashed out on out of insecurity
