This is insane. Remove bots from SL. What is the point dear god. Expanded que is one thing. But bots…? In ranked play? SO many issues with this.
IMMEADIATELY REMOVE THE BOTS FROM SL QUE. I just had a game. 3 diamonds and 2 plats on my team. One diamond on the other team, with 4 bronze 5’s. They were 100% bots. They didn’t pick talents until 2 minutes in. They grouped on one another. Took free damage and died. Game ended in 4 minutes.

Sounds like they had a 4 stack and all 4 decided to DC sometime during or after picks, but before the game got going?
I dunno that removing bots fixes an issue with players who decide to DC. It would have been 1v5 anyways.
There are other threads discussing the DC issue, but no solid ideas on how to fix it.
Those are real bronzes, not bots. The game literally cannot find five diamonds for a team outside peak hours.
It’s not their fault the matchmaker can’t function properly with a low player pool.
One of those games was literally 4 bots. They ran around grouped together, didn’t select talents until 1-2 minutes in at the EXACT same time and had very unnatural movements. I’ve played against actual bronze players but nothing like that. They strongly resembled the very basic level bots.

You have absolutely no proof that they were REAL BRONZES. I’ve had multiple games with bot premades with 4 people who afk and only run out every 2 minutes to attack something and die.
Here is a bot premade right here - heroesprofile. com/Match/Single/61052421

To me that looks like one person running the 4 accounts at the same time. They might have an automation testing program running to control the game clients. It’s probably some form of “denial of fun attack”. Could Blizzard auto-detect such accounts? Probably easily from stats alone. Will they implement counter measures? Probably not. The reality is that it’s sad that this is even a thing someone decided to do. When any company makes any game, they shouldn’t have to worry about bad-actors—but that’s not the world we live in.
Countering hackers has always been a game of putting out the fires that they start.

I’ve noticed one particular bot on EU. It is waiting at the nexus for the first 2min until getting diconnected, then he relogs back and the software starts to play. This account is always playing stitches and do scripted things after dying, like pinging the last player that have either pinged anything on the map or either pinged an ability cooldown on the chat. He also tries to never be with the team, like he is playing a tank but will do everything possible to afk laning, especially after his 1st death. It’s the only bot that i remember the name, i keep reporting it for years but it’s still around lol.
I’ve also noticed some other bots but they were acting differently. Like if the bot dies at a location, he will afk nexus until another player of his team will go to that last location of his death, so he can scan his presence and start following him after again.
There also few people map hacking on EU, it’s still pretty rare to see, but it does exist.
Sure, one could multibox hots. But to what end? Just to grief 1 random bronze every 20 minutes?
Mind you running 4 instances of HotS (which is very CPU intensive) smoothly across virtual machines takes a colossally powerful computer, possibly with dual Xeon processors and a big chunk of RAM.
Usually Occams razor is correct, that is, those people either being random clueless players or a party of bad players, rather than someone spending a lot of time and effort just to ruin some bronze players day in an inactive video game.
Not saying it’s impossible for one person to be multi’ing an entire premade, just unlikely.

The whole idea is idiotic for sure. Yet, I could see somebody thinking this is how to train their AI.

It’s a common tactic people use to climb in ranked games. The top 10 players in EU were bot accounts for almost for 2 years until they finally did something about it at the start of this year.

But those bots aren’t going to clime any ranks… So do you mean those EU accounts had actual working bots?
One guy has 4 bots on his team. He queues during dead hours when other people aren’t queueing with his “loser” team, then beats them in a few minutes, then switches bots from the winning team to the losing team and vice versa, so that the bots all gradually climb in ranks along with him.
The top EU players for the last few years were named “Bill Clinton”, “Donald Trump”, Barrack Obama” etc. with 90% WRs and 12000 mmr, which is impossible for a normal player to reach. It’s why they made it so you can only create a 2 stack premade in masters and grandmasters now. They need to spread this to the rest of the game, because the trolls are still using bots to climb ranks and ruin games.

Ah okay, so it only works because there’s no one to get in the way most of the time. That makes a lot more sense, and is not all that impossible to fathom.
I guess that’s the same type of person that thinks aimbots actually make you feel like a good player.

A reework of how rank points is giving to u ranking upo and down need to change and a have some form of a soft reset or hard reset in the game. and change the metrics of how many in each tier. maby only have 3 tiers per rank. like from gold 3 to 1 from gold to plat 3. so remvoe 4 and 5 , espeically in the lowetst tiers . maybe have 3 bronze tier 3 silver and 3 goild, then in plat or diamond start with 5 teris and maybe get more awarded/or punish in ranked points insteed of statick +200 points

Oooo yea that’s how the LoL bots used to be. They’d join in, DC real quick, then come back and it was clearly the bot.
those are hackers who made multiboxing and play severals accounts in the same pc.. they do this for trolling or for whatever they want it
