I recommend having multiple account so that you can quit a bad MM switch accounts and keep playing . 2 minutes to switch accounts or suffer through another depressing 10 minute MM. MM are terrible unfun forced comp that hurt the game . When they give you no option make your own .

For years, I’d see threads on this forum about

“_____ IS TOO WEAK”
“nerf this”
“buff that”
“fire the dev that made [some kind of change]”
“devs never listen to us”
…I mean…
All mirror ARAM is what happens when all those complaint threads get listened to.
Everything has been nerfed and buffed into total, literal balance. Every hero is the same.
And as you (plural) have asked demanded, all the devs have been fired.
I happen to think all mirror ARAM games are fun, but I suppose they can be seen as a small taste of the dystopian mediocrity those complaint threads essentially wanted.
…And now you’re complaining that the matches are boring.
Duh.

I do see people quitting at the start of an ARAM, but it’s usually because they are leaver queue people with awful connections trying to clear a penalty - not people ragequitting over hero selections or mirror arams.
How do I know for sure - because those players almost always keep coming back for 2 mins, then disconnect, then reconnect again.
If they were ragequitters, they’d just leave at the start (and probably say something toxic or ragey) and never come back.
Maybe some people do ragequit over ARAM hero choices or ARAM mirrors. But in my experience, they are just leavers with awful internet connections going into ARAM to clear the penalty.

All same hero ARAM was removed after ARAM became a dedicated mode. Honestly I am not sure why it was suddently re-enabled as the mode is highly degenerate. For the same reason all random was made not “all random” and instead “shuffle pick”, all same hero should go.
The issue is with specific heroes that have major weaknesses. For example Lunara. Get an all same hero with Lunara and welcome to hell. My experience with that was a match that lasted 40 minutes with over 100 deaths on both sides. The gameplay of the match was mostly staring at the revive screen, given that Lunara has as good as no self healing and dies to herself in 2, maybe 3 hits due to low health and high damage poison. It gets worse as the match progresses due to damage creep from talents, and slightly longer revive times. At 3 times during the match there were no heroes alive on both teams, absolutely enthralling gameplay.
Some people had it even worse and their all same hero match lasted so long that they either overflowed the experience counter (0 exp gained), or it exceeded the fail safe match time (0 exp gained).

Is your temple ok? I ask because that loaded gun pressed up against it this entire time should cause some discomfort. If this is some sort of kink where you like to be forced to play HOTS, that’s fine; just don’t bring it here to the forums.
These forums are for wholesome discussions with rainbows and cute animals.

It happens in 90% of the Mirror Modes I’m in. It needs to go away. Just add a MM game mode next to ARAM if you want to force this crap on people. Just played one, two people DC’ed, two of us just sat there waiting for it to end, and one kid kept playing. Game lasted 5m. No thanks to Mirror Mode, get rid of it.

That differs from my personal experience. I’ve only had 3 matches where other players on my team have gone AFK or left the match. I’ve probably played at least 25 mirror games, so that number is quite low.
Players leave far more often in my “normal” ARAM games, which only makes sense as those matches happen far more frequently compared to mirror matches.
Again, in my experience, when players have all simply played out a mirror match, those matches averaged about 16 minutes. Where one or two players went AFK, ironically, those matches dragged on longer, as not everyone gives up, simply because they now have a bot on their team.
Setting up, a new mode takes more time to implement, compared to our friendly ghost Dev who simply flipped a switch to re-enable an already existing feature. Unless MS allocates more resources to Hots, the best you can personally hope for, is for the Dev to listen to your complaints and disable MM.
For all we know, the Dev who asked those on the Hots Subreddit if they wanted MM to be re-enabled, was leaving a final parting gift to players, before Microsoft takes over, where any future Hots has, is uncertain.

I theorize that most of the salt comes from those getting bested by the same hero they are playing. They cannot fathom that someone else is better than them when things are equal.
This reminds me of a forum troll that boasted being top 5 in the world, but would balk at playing 1v1 when challenged in a mirror match.

I don’t get why people dislike mirror matches. It literally removes the excuse of “bad comp” and is entirely based on skill.

You just don’t get it, they find it more fun facing a comp that ends the game in 5 minutes because they picked 2 limings more than having a skill based match up that doesn’t relate to spamming all ur buttons on your keyboard with no thought.

I think you accidentally or intentionally answered your own question. There are some players who dislike mirror games, precisely because it might highlight their poor performance as everyone is playing the same hero, they can’t blame it on something like a “bad comp.”
@Ironymus noted in another thread, that some heroes like Probius have the potential to drag out the length of a match, so it becomes a slog. Irony so suggested, some heroes are simply less fun to play as mirrors.
I feel this is a valid complaint, but that’s not what the majority of posters who complain about mirrors in ARAM complain about. Most of them rely heavily on hyperbole, proclaiming that “Literally ever second game is a mirror, remove mirror matches!” The other common justification is “Literally everyone goes AKF to avoid mirror games, remove them!”
It’s fine to post that you don’t like mirror games, but to blatantly exaggerate how often they occur, or lie about how often people abandon MM, is a disingenuous argument to justify a very personal dislike for mirror matches.

If MS ever repair this game the first they should do is stop catering to the minority and make thier own path and then if those keep crying then thats too bad.
Thats what eventually killed this game cause Blizz tried to cater to the 10% that keep crying on the forums instead of having a plan of how the game should be and then let it be like that.
That could easy be fixed by not making mirror matches with heroes that are known to create very long games.
Or they could create an entire new form of ARAM like what we had before.
I never saw anyone complaining about playing 5v5 Chromie dodge ball map or 5v5 Stitches map.
Creating 10 alt accounts just to switch around accounts everytime a mirror match shows up is not the solution unless you are a careless troll with no real solutions other then forcing his team to quit.
I could not see myself spend my whole evening switch account everytime a mirror pops up. You would spend more time doing nothing then playing the game.
And Reddit already proved that more than 90% of the people who voted are ok with mirrors. Those who vote no are like BlizzBane.

Yeah all mirror aram are with asassisn, not healer or tanks always are tracer, zeratul, tychus or genjis, so boring they suck, never with bruisers or tanks…
