I want to return back on HotS for chill and fun with my friend, but this new account we are in lack of choice and heroes.
It’s very hard to farm gold when you are chill and as HotS is a dead game, reduce the heroes price at least.

Good point. They should make them all 2k, would keep people from losing interest quickly.

I’ve never really had an issue on new accounts getting a decent pool of heroes to play relatively quickly.
You can’t play ranked till 50 and there are those hero packs that are really cheap 80 gems or something? Cant remember off top of my head.
It’s a free to play game but they need some incentive for people to spend some money.

Come on now man. Nothing’s easier than farming gold in this game.
Why not just use your main account? You know, if you really want heroes fast. Just buy gems with money.

Yea, not using alt accs, using gems, being patient with the gold farm, opening Heroes, utilising the Free Rotation. No need to get cheaper Heroes when there won’t be new ones tbh, there’s no rush anymore. Also plenty of cheap ones already.
or at least bring the gem price down.
sadly since 2.0, everything has become more expensive for cash purchases and they rarely put on sales.

I could get behind them lowering the price of gems.
I know I would spend more cash in total if they were cheaper. As it stands I look at it and think “if I buy those I can afford like 1 character and a skin. I might as well just wait till I have enough gold.”
I’m sure they could find a better sweet spot where they actually make more money from hots with lower prices because of more sales.

No, because with a new account you get Raynor free and Muradin/Jaina or Tyrande with free boosts. At level 25 you will also get enough free gems to buy one of the four mega hero bundles consisting of 20 heroes. Do the Recruit a friend and you also get Sylvanas free.
That’s more than enough free stuff to give away for any player and that doesn’t count that you can get heroes from loot chests and the 2k and 4k gold heroes are fast to obtain.
The packs are 100 gems, so free when you gain 25 account levels as that rewards the player 150 free gems.

Yeah they never had a good plan for making money in this game. The long time fans want things to stay expensive, it gives their time and loyalty perceived value.
We got hero bundles if he want more.

Nope. We want things to remain non-free. It can be cheap with real money, but it should cost money. This game’s major downfall was how cheap it became.

Do you remember the prices pre 2.0?
Skins were $8.00 on average, there were less of them, and you could not buy them with anything but money.
They don’t do sales because you can get everything for free. There are a lot of things one can complain about in HotS. But but skins being hard to get is not one of them. You’ll get a ton of skins in loot boxes no matter what you do.

The game is not being actively maintaned anymore and will bleed players on a monthly basis.
Every bonus that can be used to lure in new players then retain them, should be tried.
Tbh, I would like it if new players were able to get 40 heroes for free from a bundle instead of 20.
If there is a risk of smurfs abusing it, maybe tie it to accounts that have bought at least 1 Blizzard title previously on their battle.net account, as a bonus for signing up to HotS.
I do agree, everything in this game is free and can be gotten with enough grinding. But not all new players will be interested in that grind. Most want to hop in the action as fast as possible and try as many heroes as possible.

I didn’t know about the 100 gems pack.
But the thing is there is only 1 or 2 heroes that i like to play on their pack.
Then i think it could be good if they add 50 gems, because now if i want to buy another pack i have to pay 260 gems instead of just 50…
Btw, the game is pretty dead, there is no hype, no new heroes, no balancing, big imput lag, this is not confortable to play ranged here.
It’s like trying to auto attack with Ashe on LoL, click => wait 2sc to get the end of the animation.
So, an effort please Blizzard. At least let us play more heroes.
If there are so few heroes you like. I don’t think not unlocking them super fast is a problem.
You can’t buy another pack. you can only get one. It’s a one time deal. The value in them is so huge that it would have been a net loss to just give people multiples. Especially given that you get it for free. That’s on top of the free rotation heroes.
HotS is the most generous MobA in existence, so I can’t agree with your point of view. Though you’re entitled to it. I personally do not have input lag, and I 've had no issues playing ranged heroes.

Prices are fine. Everything is essentially free as in it costs $0. Shards can be bought with gold. All you have to do is play. New accounts also have a discounted bundles where you can get a lot of heroes. If the hero you want’ isn’t in said bundles, looks like you’ll have to farm it. If you don’t want to do that, cough up your hard earned money then.
And if you made a new account because something happened to your old account… that sounds like a personal problem to me. I lost my main because I got banned. I personally don’t think I deserved it but that’s my own issue. Be nice to your teammates or don’t say anything at all. You’re way less likely to get reported and eventually banned this way. I made the mistake of thinking people had tougher skin and could tolerate someone saying they weren’t good or that they’re dumb… but I guess not. I was never racist, called people inappropriate names, told people to off themselves or anything like that. It was stupid things like “this person sucks” or say people had 2 fingers and 1 thumb or stupid stuff like that. So while I think people shouldn’t get banned for chat offenses, I did say mean stuff and it was apparently hurtful enough for multiple reports. I probably should have just kept my mouth shut right, but anyway. Point is, maybe don’t lose access to your account and you won’t have this problem.

Yeah, it’s very difficult to see the game growing at this point.
You see the odd new player and you feel they have to have some thick skin to keep playing, because it feels like you are more likely to get flamed than encouraged than when I started, which was only around 2-3 years ago.
Access to more heros may help, I definately think reducing gem prices would help in this and probably enable blizzard to make a tiny bit more money from the game. (As well as it being quick and cheap to implement)
As at the moment there is little incentive to buy many gems instead of grinding for gold , unless you have a lot of disposable income and you don’t have the patience to wait for heroes.
So what the problem with your old account?

Well said. This game isn’t some rpg to unlock things over time. It’s ala carte each game, and since it’s dead, makes no sense to penalize the remaining players.
