I submitted a ticket earlier today, and the game master told me to post it here instead, so here I am. I’ll just copy the ticket’s text below:
"Hi! I just noticed something strange which I assume is some sort of Real ID issue.
I’ve had Real ID disabled for quite a while now, but I logged into Heroes of the Storm’s PTR to try out Deathwing and noticed my full real name shows up when I hover over my portrait in the chat. That is not the way it works on the live server, so I assumed maybe there are separate PTR-only account settings or something (kinda like how you can have a profile for betas if you opt in, if I’m not mistaken), except I can’t find anything like that in order to change it.
I can’t check it in other games, as Heroes is the only one I have installed right now.
To be clear, I’d like it to never show my real name like that, so I just want to disable it on the PTR. Live is currently fine.
