On a taunt? Always. The trait on tank pops way too rarely to ever justify taking the inconsequential heal reduction. I would only take heal red on twinblades (which I wouldnāt play in the first place anyway) or if i was playing with a burst comp vs exorbitant amount of burst heals, otherwise default to shield breaker if thereās any shields at all or bonus dmg if there are no shields at all.
Every stack gives extra damage. If heās not having mana problems (the only reason why red talent isnt always the best for teamfights), then why not. Obviously green for 1x1, as red doesnt even work in 1x1 (still, if some1 takes red for solo lane, maybe he doesnāt think he can win it either way and is just building for teamfights instead).
Seems like you yourself have some very weird ideas and expect others to follow them. People donāt take talents that you think are best because they have better/different ideas than you, not because they ādonāt thinkā.
If you have a Q quest and you never stack it but take it anyway. Especially when other talents give better value if your not willing to stack it
Reading is hardā¦
Its 18s which is reduced by 2s every aa. also can be resetted with overpowered which is the burst build.
Basicly if you open a fight you have it. Their healers reaction is usually to throw a heal right away so its one of the most reliable talents because its point and click and you can time it.
So your saying you find this inconsequential but an 4% bonus dmg every 8s is consistent?
Niche talent. If yuo take that one, maybe you could take the heal red. Although, I still wouldnāt do it by default (I would think about it, but most likely I would dismiss it in most situations. Even in that case I would take 4% dmg against tracer (for example), as then I can insta-kill her on my own. Tracer doesnāt have healing, so in most cases when she dives, healing red would be absolutely useless. 4% damage is 4% damage that you wouldnāt have with the heal talent. Heal red against kharazim (another niche for W lvl1)? Maybe.
As I said, ppl have different ideas from your own - doesnāt mean they ādonāt thinkā.
For what? You can check my varian stats on heroesprofile, if youāre so inclined.
250 SL games, 57% wr. 50/50 picks between smash/taunt. 75% shield wall lvl10 (always with smash, 50/50 for taunt); for lvl13: 65% shattering throw, 27% juggernaut, 8% heal red. Juggernaut does have the highest winrate though (60%), while heal red is sitting at measly 10-9 even though I really only picked it when it looked like absolutely perfect to pick it. Heal red really is only good for twinblades, so it seems, and I totally donāt like twin blades at all.
P.S. I mostly pick varian as counter to shields, hence the oversaturation on shattering throw (e.g., the recent rise in artanis pop is fun times for smash varian).
P.P.S. I havenāt really played much varian this season, but Iām #4 EU hanzo atm though (heroesprofile hero leaderboards).
2021 season 1 - the last time I played a lot of varian (well 83/693 games that season, but thatās really the most Iāve ever played varian in 1 season and varian was the ācarryā in that season): https://imgur.com/UDJat9D
23-13 on both shattered throw and juggernaut that season and only 5-4 for heal red. If the talent doesnāt work, Iāll pick it less often (and choose situations where it should still be good veeery carefully) - itās that simple. And heal red clearly doesnāt work.
alright fair, but i think you are underestimating some of the talents viability, donāt you think overpower is pretty default into taunt? why would you not pick it into that otherwise?
Iām just contesting the statement āsome1 who picked juggernaut with shield wall doesnāt think and is ādumbāā in this thread. I do that all the time and it works. OP needs to rethink his prejudices.
Thereās no situation involved here. Itās just a general statement. Note the use of word āeverā.
Paraphrasing it would be: āshield wall is always bad with juggernautā.
