Raynor feels awful

The best way to play raynor now is to be a pve machine with exterminator :neutral_face:

The quest is terrible like most gambit talents, it encourages u to brawl all game without dying which is almost never going to happen.

Ace in the hole doesnt feel impactful either because he already feels understatted, it’s just the ‘oh well pick if u dont need to be a pve machine’.

Q build is the only way to really play him if u dont wanna be bullied around and not be helpless late game.

He just has alot of useless utility talents which doesnt make sense for a carry designed hero and needs to be reworked from the ground up.

Only, if you’re bad with Raynor, but in reality Raynor has actually the best gambit quest of all gambit heroes, because the gambit boosts his quest early, but if you have enough stacks you can trade the gambit for the stacks.

I don’t know about Dehaka though… I didn’t tried it yet.

It’s only good early game tho which is when the game usually matters the least, you are bound to die atleast a few times with such a bounty on your head for brawling all game against good players. Gambit talents are designed for scrub elo and I dont like it, have u ever seen a pro game someone take a gambit talent without it being experimental?

Indeed the gambit is for the early, because the actual quest is a lategame quest, it stacks infinitely.

I don’t even remember that pros ever pick Raynor, when they can pick Valla,Tychus, Cassia or Sylvanas. Most picked AA hero is probably Tychus.

Most Raynors I see these days are only great at feeding.

Well have u ever seen someone pick vallas gambit talent in a pro game then? Exactly. They even pick master assassin on tychus over it :sweat_smile:

Actually the problem isn’t Valla’s gambit talent, because her AA build is pretty neat, but the real problem is that her Q-build is overtuned. Why would you pick a good talent, if you can pick an overtuned talent?

On top of that her AA build is also the hardest while Q or W are fairly easy…

Fair enough, lets see if things change after next balance patch.

Difficulty shouldnt be a factor at the highest level of play.

Dehaka’s gambit is a lot like Stitches. You pick it mostly for the passive up front effect. The gambit is just a nice addition to it. And I think it’s better than all the other gambit talents because even if you lose all your damage boost on tongue, you still have some leftover DoT that scales as well.

lol as if they’ll ever nerf her braindead q build. it’s made it through how many patches now since her godmode buff?

The dev has more data on this than we do so it’s possible we’re not seeing something that the dev is seeing or maybe the dev team is still working on a way to balance her Q build without simply needing the damage or removing talents.

I’m not disagreeing that Q build is over tuned but there’s a possibility that the dev is trying out some way to balance it that we as players do not see.

Take her W build. A lot of people just wanted to nerf it’s scaling, but that would mean her early game would suffer too much so the dev had to find a work around for that.

Gambit has nothing to do with it. That talent was always bad.

But Raynor feels fine to me.
