Quick Match Sucks Solo

Pretty much as the title states. Quick match as a solo player is straight up not fun anymore. My games keep getting ruined over and over by bad players, players who are toxic, and by playing against pre-mades. QM is quickly ruining what fond feelings I used to have for this game. Que the trolls and blizz fan boys. Let me guess, “don’t play QM, play ranked/unranked” is coming. Sit down and shut up trolls, this is my post and I’m here to complain about some stuff, not to listen to the same old fan boy defense of a system that is clearly broken.

First of all, you need to realize that quick match has always been my go to mode. I don’t play Ranked because people take it extremely seriously and will go ballistic the second you make a mistake or cause your team to lose one single objective/team fight. Actually, they will go ballistic in champ select if you don’t lock in a meta pick half the time. Case in point, I want to relax when I play HOTS, not deal with the hassle and stress of ranked. That doesn’t mean I don’t want to win though, we ALL want to win.

Second, I don’t play ARAM, or Unranked, or any other game mode. In all honesty, a lot of the Ranked try hards and cry babies are still in the Unranked mode as well. Not to mention how long it takes to build up the team and do picks and bans, deal with picky team mates about team comp, etc. Case in point, I like looking through the hero selcttion screen and deciding who I want to play, selecting who I want to play, queing up for who I want to play, and then getting to play who I want to play. Maybe that is purely based on whatever quest I need to complete at the moment, regardless, this is why I play QM.

Lastly, I play solo. All my friends that used to play this game have long since quit. I don’t know when, but at some point blizzard started hiding the fact that people are playing together in QM. I know, because I have not seen the “in a party” icon for any players for a looooong time, and there is absolutely zero chance that I have not been playing against grouped people. Let me tell you why it sucks to play against a pre-made. Because for one, a pre-made gets to have an automatically better team composition than your randomly thrown together team that blizzard match maker pairs you up with. Two, they actually work together and co-ordinate for fights and objectives. I have been steam-rolled many times by pre-mades in QM. I really don’t see how it could be fun to steam roll every team fight, every objective, and win while we can’t even take down a single tower because my team is actually composed of 5 individuals (and not very good ones) while they run around in a death ball and murder everything. I don’t understand why it’s happening, but people are bringing in pre-mades that belong in Ranked mode composed of really good meta champs/team comps and there is absolutely nothing a rag tag team of solo randoms can do about it.

So I complain a lot, but it’s actually pretty easy to fix the problem. QM should be for solo players only. If you want to duo or group, go play Unranked/Ranked.

I’m playing a ton solo QM and it’s still extremely fun to me.

And the “don’t play QM” will be their comment and they here to tell you that you don’t help yourself.

I see some conflicting standpoints :thinking:

Don’t they need to pick it manually? That’s not automatic. Like there are quite the friendgroups that just pick random (non-synergistic) Heroes.

Maybe Smurfs, but I had and faced many premades with low coordination.

Premades usually face premades, but when they don’t but solos, the solos have a higher average MMR.

I have to inform you it seems, that just because your friends left this game, this is still a team game. Playing it in teams should never be limited.

Also, just like you don’t want to go from QM despite you not having fun there with issues the other modes could fix, maybe some parties don’t want to Draft or play Random Heroes but play QM, together, having fun as a friend group.

So nice rant, but horrible idea.

A prime example of a blizzard fan boy in his natural habitat. People like you are the exact reason blizzard will never remove unfun mechanics and just overall improve the fun for all players, because the second people point out problems you sprint to the keyboard faster than a race horse to take up arms and defend the game. I have opinions, I stated said opinions, said stated opinions are mine and not yours.

Unfun “mechanics” like playing as a team in a teamgame?..

You can try to hide your horrendous idea behind calling others fanbois, but it’s just terribad.

The lies to we tell to ourselves…

Removing fun (the ability to play with friends, the ability to filter out afks and trolls for guaranteed) won’t make the game more fun, and especially not for the masses.

That’s cool, and I said mine, because the reason for this forum is exactly that.

You have your right for your opinion but if it’s a bad one, ppl can come here and tell you that.

No sir. I play 96% of the time solo, on quick-match and, i kick butt most of the time. You just need to change your approach. We all have our moments of frustration.

you can get unlucky and go into some weird streaks with trolls and macros (ai players).

But it’s still fun.

Depends how you define fun.
Some player have fun winning games with like-minded players.
Others have fun with just messing around and dont care if they lose or win.

But when those two gets mixed into the same team then you are in for a ride.

I just dont know mathematic used in this game. how somebody who winning 25% matches have same MMR who player with 80%???
Meybe Iam to stupid to understand it, and creator of this mod has any vision to make more fair machmaking…

AI is probably the closest one to being good. Least you wont get afks and trolls. But the AI are not good so.

It’s seem to have more players in Quick Match mode but you can know that ruined hasn’t fun there as I answers.

Various of heroes (like Malfurion, Arthas, Alexstrasza, Maiev, and Samuro) have largely absence because can’t be fit with actually hero quotes (like Valeera and Deckard) Nova have same voice as Li-Ming which I save her here.

they know the truth. and they purposely hide the truth thinking we wouldnt know. hope this tells you alot what are they trying to do.
