Good point, SL is much easier with tailored draft and bans, whereas QM is just randoms.
I am mostly a QM player (hence my frequent complains about MM) so I completely agree with you and will not change your mind.
However, playing SL with randoms (which I do, as I have a nighttime job, and therefore have no team to play with) is quite a strain. Hence my playing QM: in both cases I get bad MM, so I might as well have it without the inconvenience of waiting queue time PLUS drafting time.
Having high MMR in both of these modes in solo Q, I can say that even though you’ll run into more stacked team in QM and the MMR disparity can be huge, you always get to choose your best hero. SL is harder in general once you reach your true MMR.
Edit: Also, OP doesn’t even play SL 
I mean the best medivh player in the world always said that QM is where real art is.

Difficult points about QM:
- bad team compositions
- inconsistent skill levels among teams
- unpredictable roles you must fill
Difficult points about SL:
- drafting is a skill in and of itself
- everyone is playing to the best of their abilities
- forced into heroes you did not expect you will play

I’m a QM player who plays SL at a high rank and I think you’re wrong.

Even high diamond opponents are harder than anything QM has to offer at any MMR. They are capable of beating even GM’s on occassion if the comp, map and circumstances are lucky.
(I also lost to a solo D4-D2 team with a 3 stack, where we all had Master 3000 to 8000.)

I can’t agree, I think you underestimate the caliber of players in SL the higher you go up the ladder.
It gets insanely hard to win matches after a certain point compared to QM. They are players who have fine tuned all details of their micro skills, macro knowledge and gameplay.
But yeah I get your point about random comps, trolls etc., it adds a different layer of challenge to QM that makes it hard in its own way.

Quick match is a joke. You usually have both sides with trolls or people who know little about the game. Very easy to carry.

In QM, even people of high rankings play it cool. This is (the most fun imo) mode after all because everyone can relax and just play what they want, and if they lose well tough t- tough kitty.
The average QM player has even less game knowledge than he average SL player.

Some arguments concur, others do not.
See the post I made above in this thread (post #3, was one of the first to answer here). QM is an incredible field of unfair training. You learn hard how to play in very unbalanced situations. It served me in SL. However, you are also teamed with a lot of newbies… once again see post #3 above.
But the same thing AND MOSTLY WORSE also happens in SL, when you are teamed with randoms. And carrying is not always enough. What you need is people on the same level as you… but not always findable according to your way of life.
Naw, what you need is 1-2 people who are a bit higher ranked than you. Go with them as 3.
I had like 90% win rate that way. It’s insane how much impact people like two diamonds have in a game that is in gold or plat. They win 2v4 fights, they soak almost all of the teams exp, they have almost all the kills and assists
The moment I go solo again I drop to something like 49-51% because I’m not good enough to carry at my rank.
But my point stands, for a full green match history, que with people higher ranked than you, if they allow you in the party.

In QM its harder to carry your braindead allies, in SL its’s harder To beat enemies whos skill is equal to yours

You are correct ! I was so tilted after playing with/against so much Troll , afk , newbie ,smurf that i made made this lol
QM has less try hards in it causing a ruckus. It doesn’t have a ranked ladder that is like playing one step forward two steps back every other game.
That said, QM does have better quality games in it compared to SL.
