Quick Match Compositions

I play quick match any time I am not playing ranked games, but every single game,(not an exaggeration) my teams composition is far outmanned by the enemy teams. Such as my team has 3 specs,1 dps ,1 tank, where the enemy team will have 1 spec , 3 dps, 1 tank, and therefore we are instantly given a much lower chance of winning . Something like this happens EVERY single game. I never seem to get a fair composition. Are you guys doing anything to fix this?

Push to victory

If you know you can’t win the teamfight just outpush them

Or gain the exp lead and win teamfights by levels alone

Just yesterday i had a game vs Illidan + Aba and Hammer, we had no counters but still somehow managed to win, no idea rly how though.

Illidan trying to solo vs AA Zeratul was funny though, he lost pretty hard that trade.

Its less abiut the comps, more about how you play your comp.

Having the same kind of roles in each team does not make the match balanced.
Every hero is unique and some heroes are even better against heroes from a different role. QM is always a gamble!
QM doesn’t need a fix - You need to understand the point of the different game modes. If you complain about balance then you are probably at the point where you should start thinking about drafting. How big is your hero-pool in the meanwhile?

I don’t think they will ever fix it. I have been asking for role balance in QM for maybe two years now. They tried recently with the forced comps (1 healer, 1 tank, 1 ranged), but that made queue times shoot up to 10 mins for many of us. Call of the nexus helps a bit but doesn’t seem to be quite enough.

On the bright side, the comps don’t really have as much of an impact as the skill of the player. I have seen so many QM games going in where I thought we were toast (aba + murky on braxis for example), but the players on my team were really skilled at their heroes and it ended up as an easy win for our side.

I have noticed that around 70% of the matches are won by the team with higher average hero lvl, no matter the comps.

Might be wrong though, havent gone thru that many games and mostly just mine.

I agree, it is definitely possible to win by being more skilled than the other team. But when the enemy team has all range, beside their tanks, and you have all melee, I feel its pretty hard to come out on top, even with superior skills.

May i ask why you are losing your time with QM when you are used to ranked and could have better control over comps in unranked draft?

I think it’s because the bonuses for call of the nexus were so minuscule that they didn’t work as an incentive. It was a tiny amount of bonus XP you get for playing those roles. If they gave decent but not, financially backbreaking, rewards for playing those roles it could’ve actually worked. Have the in demand roles give something close to what the boosts give for playing them or a free loot box for every 3 games played in one of those roles or something else that I can’t think of at the moment. It needs to be something more tangible than the 10% or so XP bonus that youll only notice if you look for it after the match.

Team of 5 trolls in QM yesterday:
Tassadar, Morales, Rehgar, Uther and Illidan.

We did not had tank, nor any blind, stun or anything. We had a healer and 4 assassins. Ilidan had free game…

Most of QM games are winnable, unlike ranked games where people decide to pick on purpose wonky comps with 0 synergy to put you at disadvantage.
2 specs, aba without healer, 1 tank it happens all the time in supposedly “competitive” mode, because someone just want to spam same hero over and over. Why people whine about QM and don’t whine about ranked where everyone has control over picks and should pick what your team exactly needs to win, is beyond me.
