Why is Butcher the only hero in the game left with the original Block talent from alpha? He doesn’t even have a shield, give him a good version tied to his kit properly.
Also, speaking of ancient talents, remember when Azmodan had Healing Ward? lmao

Because when Butch gets an update we hope that more than block changes
fair and valid lmao, what would make a butcher rework… um, work?
He had one actually.

Developer Comments: We’ve redefined The Butcher to have a more unique role as a powerful late-game hero who feeds on the flesh of his victims via his Fresh Meat Trait. His early game is weaker than before, but if he can complete his quest he will become an incredibly potent force that the enemy team must answer. We had a ton of fun testing him, and hope you all enjoy the new Butcher!
His meat used to give him a % based bonus, up to 25%, but everything was lost on death. No matter how far you were, even at 25%.
yes but hit kit actually functioned without meat. He still did 170 damage a swing, brand lasted longer, old Enraged was nuts. Nowdays if you don’t get meat/lose meat, you lose period. You were still a melee assassin if you died then (similar to Alarak)
Think arthas also has one
Rime is hero specific
Rime
Every 5 seconds, gain 75 Physical Armor against the next enemy Hero Basic Attack, reducing the damage taken by 75%. Stores up to 3 charges.
Its got a fancy name but its still extremely generic
yeah that block talent is weird i hope he gets any physical armor decent talent
vikings has one for olaf at level 1
I remember. It was a good change.
Just had another look at his talents and overall they’re in a pretty good place in terms of diversity. There are a few outliers like Cleave or Blast Furnace and level 4 is boring in general but he’s not bad.
I think the early game and late game power level differences are too extreme. In the early game, playing as the butcher is not very fun. In the late game playing against him is also not fun. Somewhere in the middle would be nice.
Make it store up to 4 charges when he gets his quest completed. Nice and simple.
One of the better talents, honestly TLVs talent distribution isn’t all that bad as far as it goes (level 7, 10, and 13 are basically mandatory, so around half are flexible)
I consider meat, as a shield.
Prob because he needs more than a Block change.
