Just stick with it and never look back, if your ping is decent you’ll quickly get used to width, radius and even the range of spells so you never misfire. On release option works just as well for more powerful spells that you might prefer to get the most out of (void, ring, dragon strike for example). Many people prefer to mix input modes on a per spell basis.
Lowered reaction time and ability to deal “some” damage after being ambushed is enough of an argument. You can also forget about playing Zeratul, Tracer and several more demanding heroes with the setting turned off.
