Just wanted to ask a quick question.
Between Tyrael, Malth and Imperius, who is a better battery for Auri?

none of them you wouldnt want any of them to be your primary battery

The one who can constantly deal damage. Good Auriel players can switch the crown constantly to the one who is doing dmg at the moment.

Malthael, since he mostly relies on being in combat and spreading his mark.
Although Tyrael is a decent option if he goes damage build.

You would probably want to crown Imperius as he engages, as he can do quite a bit of burst damage for a bruiser. Then, you can switch to Tyrael for the sustained damage during the fight, or swap to Malthael once he starts finishing people off. One of the key things to remember as Auriel is that you want to switch the crown around to gain the most energy in the most efficient way.
Although having a reliable battery is nice, even then you should take advantage of burst heroes whenever possible for that instant gratification.

While I do know the better batteries, I was just musing over which member of the council was gonna give better energy return =)
To Creeper and Hoku, I like the idea of crown switching between dmg dealers but sometimes it gets so hectic during team fights that I never realize it.

give it time. For now, work on keeping the crown moving around, don’t worry so much about looking for the optimal pick. This will help build the skill to just have the thing moving around, THEN, over time you can find yourself ‘reading’ the situations much more accurately. This will be especially true if you’re fairly new to the game (I don’t know how much experience you have with the game, I had a LOT of issues with Auriel when she was the third character I ever played during my… oh, 5th match I’d ever played in the game)…

Top Auriel players also switch crowns based on allied cooldowns. Knowing when your teammate can next cast their abilities is important to maximize your available Energy (but also requires you to know the cooldowns of just about every hero in the game).
Not a problem in AA based teams though, which is why Auriel is a sometimes picked with Valla, and even Hanzo in very high MMR. (I rarely see Auriel comps anymore though - it’s as if she’s fallen out of the meta completely)
The few times I see Auriel anymore is with a Guldan or Cho’gall, and that’s one match in 100 or less. Gul’dan is an amazing battery for Auriel seeing as he can never run out of mana as long as he has health.
If I absolutely had to pick one battery from the other archangels, I’d take Tyrael.
I love Auriel and Tyrael together but not for this reason. Justice For All + Auriel = Auriel has a much easier time playing into damage that would otherwise kind of shut her down (any long-ranged poke hurts Auriel’s battery’s ability to step up to deal damage and generate hope, the shields counter that).
Combine that with Tyrael’s ability to swarm the fight by himself and be present whenever it is time to engage, and they’re a perfect high-sustain match for each other. If only Auriel could restore mana…
