Question about Kel'Thuzad's Glacial Spike

I was wondering (hard to test this!) if anybody knows if Glacial Spike’s collision works to also block projectiles?

For example, I am 1v1 with Nova…
She uses Triple Tap on me.
I pop spike and walk behind it and take no damage. Awesome diagram below…

KT /\ <-- <-- <-- NOVA

Does anyone know?

Im inclined to say it behaves like terrain so —> projectiles pass thru but bodies don’t. I.e. charge/fend/etc…

Would it be cool? Yes. Possible? No… But bodyblocking is cool.

What can you do, though? When she pops Triple Tap, she sits still. Either chain her to you spike and annihilate her, or… JUST ANNIHILATE HER! with wrqe while she channels.

You can be saved from triple tap by hiding behind a structure because they can take damage. KTZ’s glacial spike cannot be targeted, therefore triple tap goes right through it.

That’s assuming she’s within range, which she probably isn’t. By the time you get close enough to spike her into a combo, you’re probably dead. Triple tap is always used to secure kills. What you could do is maneuver through allies while she’s shooting, and then get the easy kill.

This is true. If you have 1.5 seconds before death, you have a pretty decent amount of range, probably hook range, to hit nova and you can realistically cancel her cast and kill her. Otherwise best bet is usually bblock or structures if nearby.

I’ve tried, Glacial Spike (which is untargetable) can’t block skillshots like a targetable summon such as Lunara’s Wisp.

However Glacial Spike can body block, if you are in a very tight corridor it can secure your escape since it creates unpassable terrain.

Thanks for the replies, I was aware of all the information provided (I have too many games on KT… he’s level 205 at the moment :open_mouth: I need a new hobby…) , was mainly just checking about if it blocks projectiles… appears it doesn’t.

For context, it was a clutch moment on Braxis… I had like 60% health and capped the top point when I heard the Triple Tap noise. I walked up to her, chained and was in the process of dropping the spike to chain her to it and interrupt her but I died to the second shot of it…

That’s when I wondered “What if I had just placed the spike down, blocked the shots and then combo’d her off it”.

It feels amazing when you body block someone with the spike and save yourself or get them killed lol the Dragon Shire bottom point is a personal favourite spot for it and also parts of the jungle on Cursed Hollow.
