Whomst even thought his 13 remotely busted to get this condition.
Reminds me of the days when we was faster then the bot to post these balanced patches.
They went after my poor solo lane auriel, and now healer auriel. Tank Auriel better not be next…
they forgot to mention they increased the armor from pack leader’s from 20 to 40.
Also there is a typo and bug with hero stalker with it saying 0 or more instead of 2, and giving the 2 essence when only hitting 1 hero.
This update looks pretty substantial, significantly more so than I expected. Probably wise to plan for reintroduction of HGC and all the trappings that go along with it. Maybe even consider purchasing some Bzzzzd stock before the inevitable run.

Really, if you want to nerf dehaka bcs it have become “popular” the last years since the last buff, you must nerf those buffs instead of destroy every kind of build… I still dont know what you really wanted to do with the “Hero Stalker” rework, but is not working as you said. Hero stalker is right now giving 2 essence even if it only hit 1 hero, and to be honest that’s fine, is the only way to make dehaka survive in 1 lane but it make a little useless now vs heroes like samuro who can deal more damage with aa than the dmg that dehaka will heal himself with hero stalker vs it.
Hero Stalker is the ONLY way to make a w dehaka not lose all lanes vs any other kind of hero BECAUSE is the only way to get some extra essense vs 1 target, now with this new “update” you are turning dehaka into a useless chicken who can be defeated by any other hero in 1v1 if he is far away from a lane with minions and who will die in 10 seconds even vs a normal kharazim or even against an artanis with no talents selected (following your logic now you kids must nerf artanis atribute shield and make it only usable 10 times per game bcs that ammount of sustain is even more broken than a simple W dehaka)
A cap of 3 heroes for the hero stalker essence gain is acceptable (you force dehaka to use at least 3 W to get 40+ essence again), or you’re gonna kill dehaka as a sololaner.

- Rework: Cooldown reduction is now a Gambit bonus, starting from 1.5 second cooldown reduction. Each death lowers this by 0.25, up to 3 times.

I am happy for another patch but again any map changes or poll rotaion changes. We are still stuck whit the worst map of Volskaya from 15. Will be nice to get some changes on rest maps so we can have them all in pool when there is not any rotation anymore.

Me. I hated playing against that, and it was basically a mandatory talent. It’s really dumb that Lucio was an extremely mobile AoE healer with peel and was also a stunlock enabler.
Glad to see Dehaka tuning. Wasn’t oppressive usually and glad to see him reined in, as he was just a consistent top performer, but I hope the changes are not too much.
I don’t really get the Lucio nerfs. He’s not even that that great. Am I missing something? These changes just seem to just be narrowly targeting those that can hit higher skill ceiling which is honestly a strange choice.
Those Kharazim buffs though… I’ve never really had a problem with him, but I guess he has been underperforming slightly. But when you have supports like Ana, I don’t understand the priority here. Landing palms always feels so satisfying. An extra second reduces the skill floor substantially which I selfishly don’t like, but I understand considering 7 is so much more easy and popular. Air totem was definitely stupid how fast it died. I would have preferred it having two charges again if it died so fast. Epiphany mana change makes sense in the sense that ever since fists of legend was implemented, the mana/cd savings baked in makes epiphany less enticing. But at the same time, I think I’d prefer the lower CD on epiphany.
It’s comforting to know I’m not the only person who isn’t overly fond of Gambit talents.
I’m onboard with the updates to Kara, but yeah, I’m not sure how I feel about the proposed changes to Dehaka.
I’ll admit it, after reading the patch notes, I hurriedly scrolled down searching for your reaction, I’m not disappointed!

i mean who is, yes it does promote careful play but on tanks and Dehaka and the like you’re going to be constantly infront of everything skill shots AoE you are the first witness it all (unless they go boo out the bush and get at the backline)
you’re not gonna keep all of the gambit not unless you’re healer and other frontline are gods.
and they you have whatever stitches has going on where all of them hide behind the healer cus of their precious gambit
can anyone who has the PTR tell me if Paralyzing Enzymes is only anti-heal or if still does a hefty DoT? Cause if the latter, the talent is now very scary.
Feeding Frenzy is a rip though I understand why they did it.
It lost the damage overtime
Yep the talent was pretty unbalanced since that upgrade years ago, the question is, Why devs are still weakening the essence talents even if almost no one use those ones? I appreciate the upgrade in the “pack leader” armor bcs i think im the 1% of the players who sometimes used it in ranked (i have been asking for an update to that for years), but talking about the “Hero Stalker” nerf i can say that devs seems to forgot that dehaka dont have unlimited hp sustain because he burn his mana pretty fast in a tf, and also that nerf turn a dehaka with that talent into a mele mage and not into a sololaner, because is going to be imposible to win a lane vs any other heroe so he must leave the sololaner’s lane and go with the team if he want to get some extra essence.
I am extremely worried about the viability of Ferocious Stalker now. It lost 13% of its damage with both the base damage nerf and the 10% lost.
And the changes to hero stalker make me question how well enduring swarm, symbiosis, and primal swarm will do.

Looks like Whitemane has been hanging around with Nazeebo lately.
The only problem with those talents now are the lost of damage and a probably reduction of the 30% of the essence gained per game for W dehakas (50% in games agains multi heroes like vikings, rexxar or samuro), because you can still spawn dark swarm forever with only 2 enemy heroes (until your limited mana burn) and the fact that dehaka cant stack armors like other heroes, so the real problems are:
1.- If they make hero stalker essence gain to trully dont work vs single heroes, that is going to turn W dehakas into mele mages instead of sololaners, because is going to be imposible to dehaka to win any lane alone.
2.- Get only 14 essence every 3,5 seconds will be hard in early game because the W dehaka sacrifice any chance of scape for more sustain, but at 20 you still can get 30 extra essence in those 3,5 seconds with essential claws, which make the hero stalker nerf pretty useless (talking about that i can really understand now that devs dont even know how the real dehaka works, they only focus their “balance” to the common nub guide-made dehakas)
