So I decided to learn Probius, few things I am still not clear about:
- how to blow up his W with Q reliably on enemy heroes since W need 1 second plus to arm?
- Is it a good idea to use his Z to quickly place pylons and cannons?
- How to ise pylon overcharge effectively?
There’s a reason why probius is the least played hero in the nexus. But to answer your questions.
- It really just comes down to placement and zone control. (Put it places the enemy team would have to go through to get to an objective)
- Keep in mind workers rush comes with a permanent 10% movement speed buff and you’ll want to put your pylons in safe places where its hard for the enemy team to reach them. (So no)
- Keep in mind the range increases when it activates so time it during teamfights over objectives for maximum damage

He is actually the least played hero? Actually less than Tassadar and Chen?
Even less than vikings. Its really bad.

Warp Rift takes 1.25 seconds to arm by the way.
Blowing up W takes a lot of timing, practice, and precision depending on how far you are from your W.
Definitely not frequently. Here are the ways I use Worker Rush (Z):
- Chasing a fleeing enemy to last hit them using Disruption Pulse (Q)
- Swiftly rotating between lanes to apply heavy macro pressure for the enemies to eventually deal with
- Take advantage of Probius amazingly good waveclear
- Using Z in these defensive ways
- Escaping a gank
- Be mindful that any damage you receive removes your bonus Movement Speed (especially DoT like Lunara or Nazeebo)
- Aggressively positioning
- You will eventually do this more often when you feel more comfortable with his and your own limits
I don’t think much consideration is needed when using R, just trust your instincts man. Try out Null Gate sometime. It’s much more versatile.

I feel like he should get a buff, at least a talent to increase pylon field radius

you put your W to zone, and if an enemy step into it, then you blow it up. Don’t try to purposely hit them with it like a chromie’s Q idk.
Don’t use Z to place pylons faster… thats utter crap idea lol.
Z is for escape, moving fast to another obj/lane and sometimes chase. But mainly escape…
Pylon overcharge is really effective.
Usually you put the pylons next to you and zone with W, E. When tf happens and is not avoidable u just press R, ez game

Probe is very good, but countered by most of stealth heroes. I only draft him last. On Immortal shrines he is OP, He can push, deny, and rain chaos. But unfortunately he is made of glass so are his pylons.
I go warp build all way as you can still do a lot of dmg once pylons are gone. He has no escape, so remember to use warps defensively.
Cannons and prisms can block pathways, in later stages Proble cleans camps like if was bribing them, few seconds and done.
