Hi,
I’ve just installed Hots and on every start of the application I got window popup about preparing game data and downloading around 1GB of data. I don’t know what is going on and what to do about this.

same issue and nothing is happening; asking me again and again to open a ticket. They actually replying to me in a ticket!!!
Nevver ending loop, good luck, it sound like the end to me…It has been my favourite game and it died like this…sad.
I got the same isue with hots.
I found a solution for me. i changed the game language “audio output + text output” for heroes of the storm in the blizzard app to english. now it starts witout problems. i found the solution by myself, couse when I started the game before with “german audio and text” the game was always complete in english after the “preparing game data” download.

Looks like that must be it. I’ve tweaked language via settings in battle.net and, somehow, it also fixed that issue. I’m convinced this is the solution.
I don’t get it exactly, does that mean you have to play in english to avoid the bug ?
I would prefer to stay on my language if possible… It looks annoying.

It’s crazy but switching to english (texts and audio) through Battle.net worked for me too (computer/battle.net and the game were in french)
This solution don’t work with my game. I play in English (audio/text) by default, and on every start of the game, it launch the “Preparing data” window !! Do you have another suggestion ?
I figured that my launcher was specifying the game should run in french and in-game the settings was in english. I suspect that the NVIDIA application that “optimize” the game is resetting this settings to english in game leading to the game downloading french voice data every time…
