Rumors are starting to rumble regarding a PTR update, possibly today?
I haven’t seen anything official yet, but a few normally reliable sources are pointing towards this.
Big reworks? Gameplay updates for the season?
Or possibly, maybe … a new hero gasp?
Supposedly (according to some reddit posts) a dev said something on that vein over at the HoTS Twtich-Channel.
Otherwise NotBelial is quite active again.
I´ll get invested when the PTR actually updates.
What brought it to my attention was a post on the NGS Discord. Like you, I will believe it when I see it, and I generally do not read Reddit unless something is specifically pointed out to me. This seemed a bit more credible to me. Sadly, I am at work, so can’t check some of my other sources of information.
I can always dream, though!

So Butcher is featured on the loading screen. Possible rework?
Didn’t they say they were looking at him months ago?
Also there are 3 other heroes there as well beside butcher and raynor (who got one recently).
Might be something new involved for ming, kerrigan and rehgar.

Yes it’s been years. Perhaps they are being careful, they probably don’t want to mess up the Butcher and risk the wrath of HElSENBERG.

“Classic event” sounds about right for that image.
Kerrigan has her BW Terran armor and Raynor’s power armor also looks fairly SC1-esque. Raynor also has his SC1 shave and haircut.
The Butcher also looks like an earlier model with that apron and slightly less stylized and curly horns. I’m not too familiar with his D1 and D2 models so I don’t know which it is, but it’s definitely one of them.
I don’t know what the new Li Ming skin is supposed to be from, and TBH Rehgar looks like normal to me, just with a new tint for the wolf pelt.
That actually looks like Tychus.
Or really any marine. But the gun is definitely Raynor’s, and the face isn’t too off from what Raynor looked like back in SC1.
